Inspired Stamps Love Cards in Sets

Hello and welcome here!  If you're like me, you make more than one card at a time, often using the same image or sentiment but changing up the paper etc.  Antoinette, creator of  Inspired Stamps, came up with the great idea of sharing Card Sets using her stamps.  This time around the DT is sharing Love Cards in sets.

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"
My light box wasn't quite big enough to hold them all, but here they all are together.  This would be a great card to make to suit the colours of a wedding.  I used Lovely Lace and stamped the doily using Versamark, and then I embossed different colours for each card.  To give it a 3D look I outlined it with a Copic C1.  The sentiment is included with the Lovely Lace set and I inked the heart first with a different colour, and then inked the rest of the sentiment with black, this way the heart matches the colour of the paper!

Inside:
For the inside, I matched the ink to the cardstock colour, and because I wanted Congratulations to be bigger  I used the Label Maker Alphabet.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Lovely Lace & Label Maker Alphabet, Kraft CS, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Buttercup, Baby Pink & Pansy Purple, CTMH Ink-Black, Buttercup, Baby Pink & Pansy Purple, CTMH Embossing Powder-White Daisy, Baby Pink, Buttercup & Pansy Purple, Spellbinders-Scalloped Circles Lg & Sm., Standard Circles Sm. & Marvelous Squares, Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Corner Punch, Copic C1, Pearls, Foam Squares, Celebrate It 7/8" White Satin Ribbon, Celebrate It 5/8" White Satin Edge Ribbon.

The Cuttlebug Spot Feathers Challenge

This is my second post for today, so if you're looking for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge please scroll down:)

This week the challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot is Feathers...real, paper feathers, etc., but don't forget to use your Cuttlebug on your project too!

Challenge - Feathers

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I decided to go with a wedding card, although it could be used as a Birthday Card too.  I love the rich purple colour of the feathers and chose to highlight them by using only white.  I embossed the frame using Sizzix Loving Thoughts and tried to have the feathers curve along the one side.  I didn't want to break the shaft of the feather and make it weak, so it looks a little rigid....but I love the end result.

I added some Crystal Ice Stickles around the frame to give the card a little sparkle.

Recipe:  CS-Bazzil Prismatics, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, SS-Inkadinkado Expressions, EF-Sizzix Loving Thoughts, Crystal Ice Stickles, Celebrate It Sheer Creations Ribbon.

Ready to join us for the Feathers Challenge.  You have 1 week to complete your project and add it to the Feathers Challenge link....Good Luck! If you need more Feathers inspiration be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations over at The Cuttlebug Spot.

Enjoy,

A Wedding, and a Retirement Card

Hello and welcome here!  It's been a long while since I've posted something other than for the Design Teams I'm on, partly because I didn't want to be tied to the computer so much, and partly because I just wasn't creating anything.  But since work is done for the summer (I work in a school), I've had time to myself and have been bitten by the creative bug again!

Here are two cards I made for work.  One lady was getting married, and the other was retiring.  The cards  needed to be bigger so that everyone could sign them.

Card Size: 5" x 7"
All white cards are always so hard for me to photograph and edit.  It tends to overexpose when I lighten it up a bit, so I have to leave them a little darker so that you can see the details. I kept it Clean & Simple to reflect elegance.  The image I used is a digital image I found HERE, at Wedding Girl Blog.

Recipe: Digital Image-Wedding Girl Blog Bride Silhouette, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Spring Iris, Spellbinders-Labels 10, EF-Craft Concepts Budding Vine, White Grosgrain Ribbon, White Satin Edge Ribbon, Pearls, Foam Squares.

Card #1 Challenges Entered:
Paper Craft Star - Embossing
Ruby's Rainbow - Emboss It
Creative Card Crew - Swirls and Pearls
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days - Girly w/ a digi image

Card Size: 5" x 7"
This card was for a teacher who was retiring, so I wanted it to be a little extra special.  I love the lacy feel of the Floral Frames and Romantic Rectangles by Spellbinders, and I was able to layer them up because of the large size of card I needed to use.

Recipe:  CTMH SS-Sweet Flowers, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Sweet Leaf & New England Ivy, CTMH Ink-Creme Brulee, Blush, Vineyard Berry, New England Ivy & Olive, Spellbinders-Romantic Rectangles & Floral Frames, Foam Squares, Pearls.

Card #2 Challenges Entered:

Papercraft Star - No Designer Paper

A White Wedding Card

Hello and welcome here! I had a friend ask me to make a wedding card for her. She said they enjoyed the outdoors, and to do it in blues. This was the card I came up with for her. I find all, or almost all, white cards difficult, but I think this one turned out well.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I made a frame for the image with Spellbinders Labels 4, and embossed the background mat. I added touches of blue to tie into the image. Boy, it's difficult to take a picture of white, but you get the idea.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy & Moonstruck, CTMH Ink-Moonstruch, Black & Creme Brulee, CTMH SS-Beautiful Things & Bliss, Nestabilities-Labels 4 & Fancy Tags, Craft Concepts Budding Vine EF, Martha Stewart French Scroll Border Punch, Pearls, Foam Squares, White Satin Ribbon.

Enjoy,

Bridal Shower Card

Well, I was loving the Graduation Card I made for my niece, and wanted to try one using all creams, or all white. I had a Bridal Shower to go to, so it was the perfect time to try the cream version out.
.Card Size: 4" x 6"
.Bridal Shower Card
.
After I started the card, I realized I needed to make a little pocket to hold the cash, but I didn't want to make it a large part of the card. I came up with a little decorative pocket for the corner.
Bridal Shower Card inside
The Nestabilities I used were: Curved Rectangle, Fleur De Lis, Circle, and Floral Accents.
.
Hope you have a great weekend!!

A Wedding Card

Happy Thursday! Just thought I'd share a Wedding Card with you. My stash was low on Wedding/Shower Cards, so I thought I'd make a few. I wanted to use the bouquet from the CTMH SS Now & Forever, and so I created this card around that image.

Here's my creation.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I layered the bouquet by cutting out individual flowers and attaching them with Foam Squares. It seems to make the bouquet 'pop' off the card.
I added Prisma Glitter to the edges of the one Nestabilities Labels 4 DC. I coloured the bouquet with good 'ol pencil crayons, and used Chalk to shade under the bouquet.
Here's the inside of the card.
Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Pansy Purple & Amethyst, CTMH Ink-Black, Grey Flannel & Pansy Purple, CTMH SS-Now & Forever, Twas the Night Before Christmas (flourish inside card) & Gracious Greetings, Pencil Crayons Prisma Glitter, Thinestones, Cuttlebug Textile EF, Nestabilities Labels 4 DC, Corner Rounder, Sand Paper, Foam Squares.
Hope you enjoyed the Wedding Card!

Wash Your Hands Young Lady!!

Okay, this card caused me stress the whole time I was making them. I was so afraid I was going to get it dirty...lol! I made it with thoughts for using it for a wedding card, but by not putting a sentiment on it, it could also be used for a Birthday or Shower or even Baby card.

I'm a card maker, unfortunately not a photographer. These cards are made using white CS, I just couldn't seem to photograph them well.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

There's not much to say about the card, it pretty much speaks for itself. I used Cuttlebug's Formal Circles EF & Martha Stewart Lace Doily Punch, added a white grosgrain bow, and voila, the card was done.

The inside:
Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Cuttlebug-Formal Circles EF, Martha Stewart Lace Doily Punch, White Grosgrain Ribbon. Inside: CTMH Ink-Blush, Vineyard Berry, Garden Green & New England Ivy, CTMH SS-Life Is So Good (I love that SS!!!)

Enjoy,

I Do.....Like Making A Wedding Card.

Just thought I would share a wedding card with you. A friend of mine needed one, and this was what I came up with...I saw one similar to this (the black frame part), but unfortunately I didn't take note of who's it was.
I don't seem to have luck with black embossing powder, so I stamped the image with Black Ink, (used versamark) and then used clear embossing powder. The 'Congratulations' is gold embossed on vellum.

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Black & Lilac Mist, CTMH Ink-Black, CTMH SS-Now & Forever, CTMH Vellum, EF-Swirls, VersaMark, Gold & Clear Embossing Powder.

Enjoy,
Deneen
