CHF April 2012 Release Blog Hop

I have 2 projects to share with you today! The first is a card.

Card Size: 4" x 5"

I used the beautiful rubber stamp called Music Gives You Wings, and added minimal colour to showcase it. I stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of CS and used Spellbinder's Labels 16 to cut it out and mounted it with pop dots. My light box seems to wash out the colour, but the black is darker in real life, in the photo is looks kind of gray.

The card looked a little bare without ribbon (if you follow me, you know I love my ribbon, lol), so I added a flourish for some dimension. It was the perfect touch without taking away from the image.

Inside:

White is always difficult to photograph, so it's difficult to see but I used white swiss dotted CS for my card base, I stamped a flourish from the rubber stamp set Beautiful inside.

The second project I have to share with you are candles that match my card.

Large Candle: 5.25" workable space
Small Candle: 3.25" workable space

If you haven't 'stamped' on candles or need a refresher, I have a Tutorial HERE you can follow, it's super easy and so much fun.

I stamped the images onto tissue paper, cut them out and attached them to the candles. I then embellished them with rhinestones and stickles. The heart shape was super easy to cut out because the wrinkle that occurs when folding the tissue paper in half, smooths out when you heat it onto the candle.

I added velvet ribbon along the top and bottom and a few rhinestones.


The flourish is from the rubber stamp set Beautiful, I stamped it on tissue paper using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, the colour remains quite beautiful when attached to the candle. At the back I added the word 'Beautiful', and I added gold Stickles around the edge of the heart.

Recipe: Candles, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Aged Mahogany, Rhinestones, Velvet Ribbon, Gold Stickles, White Tissue Paper.

This would be a great gift set, with matching card for someone who plays the piano!

CHF Sneak Peek Day 4!

Hello and welcome here! It's Day 4 of Cornish Heritage Farms (CHF) Sneak Peek week. Tomorrow evening starting at 10 pm EST is the Blog Hop, and when the rubber stamps we've been showing you this week are available to you in the CHF store!!

Here is my card for you today.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

On the outside of my card I used a FREE digital stamp from CHF called Flower Wheelbarrow, and it's available right now in the store. This was one of the cards I sent to CHF when I applied for a DT position, and since I hadn't shared it with you yet I thought I would now. I hadn't finished off the inside and I thought it was the perfect space to use a flourish from the Rubber Stamp Set Beautiful.

Inside:

I punched out a few flowers to add to the flourish. The stamp set has several different flourishes and the sentiment 'Beautiful' with it.

CHF Sneak Peek Day 3!

Card Size: 5" x 7"

The image is a Rubber Stamp Set called Wonder Is Best When Shared, isn't it sweet? The flourishes I added using white embossing powder on patterned paper, they are from the Rubber Stamp Set called Beautiful...one of my absolute favourite sets.

I inked the section where the sentiment is in black, and then ripped the edges and pop dotted it onto the image so that it would stand out a little more. I added Crystal Ice Stickles to the word 'Shared'.

Inside:

I used the flowers from the Beautiful stamp set along the edge inside the card.

CHF Sneak Peek Day 2!

I used a flourish from the Rubber Stamp set Beautiful to stamp around the cream CS mat, and sentiment. The sentiment is a digital stamp called Here's Wishing and it is available right now in the store.

Cornish Heritage Farms Sneak Peek Week!

Hello and welcome here on a Sunday. I have a big, HUGE, surprise to share with you...I was accepted on the Cornish Heritage Farms (CHF) Design Team!! YAY!! We are so excited to share our CHF creations with you all. You can find the DT links in my sidebar where you' re sure to be inspired.

I used the Rubber Stamp set called Beautiful, and the Digital Stamp called Baby's Basket. I coloured the image using Copics, and used Spellbinders to cut out the image and mat it. I finished it off with a simple ribbon and a few pearls.

Here I used a flourish from the Beautiful Stamp Set, and left a space for writing.

Masculine Stitches Card

Hello and welcome here! Have been over to Top Tip Tuesday to see if you have Caught Our Eye?? The Stitches Challenge is 1/2 way through, you have 1 more week to enter for a chance at some great prizes. You can find all the info at Top Tip Tuesday.

To continue with the Stitches theme, I decided to make a quick masculine card.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I cut an oval into the planks patterned paper and then added foam squares behind to make a frame for the lighthouse. I hand stitched x's along the oval and in the corners...just like cross-stitching. I used a felt pen to add some detail around the oval and corners. I added Stickles to the glass to make it 'shine'.
