Teddy Bo & Co. May Inspiration with Bea

Hello and welcome here!  It's time to share some Teddy Bo & Co. inspiration.  This time I have a discovery I want to share with you.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

There was some conversation going on on the DT about whether or not you could watercolour a digital image.  If you can get your paper to go through your printer it might just work.  Here's what I did...I printed my image on watercolour paper, let it dry overnight and then hit it with my heat tool for added measure.  I didn't have any issue with the ink bleeding.  I have a Hewlett Packard inkjet printer, I had to help the paper get started feeding but once it started it was fine...I used Strathmore 140lb paper.

I used Distress Inks to colour my image.

Distress Inks Used:
Dress - Tattered Rose & Wild Honey
Fur - Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo & Wild Honey
Flowers - Faded Jeans
Background - Pumice Stone

Recipe:  Paper-not sure, sorry:(, My Favorite Things Inside/Out Stitched Ovals, Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders, Bazzill CS-Mocha Divine, Strathmore Watercolour Paper Cold Press 140lb., Distress Inks, Foam Squares, Flowers.

Enjoy,

I used April Bo 02 from the April membership pack and went with a clean and simple card.  I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils.  I apologize for not taking a photo of him BEFORE I added Distress Ink to the edges, it kind of camouflaged my colouring.  But I loved the effect it gives, of night closing in around him.

Fur - 746, 755, 756
Shirt - 738, 738.5, 739, 747
Hat - 758, 760

Teddy Bo & Co. and A Mini Album Page

Hello and welcome here!  It's time to share some Teddy Bo & Co. inspiration.  You can check out some of the action and sneak peeks over on the Facebook page.  Today I have a mini album page to share with you.

Mini Album Page Size:  4" x 6"
My dad passed away Aug. 2016 and I thought a little mini album of the kids and Grandpa from our time with him in July would be special.

I used Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters paper collection.

Lots of people saw my dad as a big teddy bear, so it worked out great that I am part of the Teddy Bo & Co. DT and used a teddy bear image from the April Membership release.

It's a double slider card.  I am teaching a class at the local scrapbook store, The Scrapbook Cottage, on creating a double slider card but I also wanted to show how you can use it in your mini albums as well.

Copics Used:
Fur - E21, E33, E57, E59, E51
Vest - V91, V93, Prismacolor 752
Pants - YG61, G21, Prismacolor 756
Shirt/Suspenders - Y28
Coat/Hat - E81, Y28
Neck Scarf - V95, V99
Hat Scarf - YG61, G21

Recipe:  Digital SS-Teddy Bo & Co. April Bo 05, PP-Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters Collection, Bazzill CS-black, Silver Foil CS, Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, Echo Park Heart Doily Die, Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish Left & Right, Foam, Rhinestones, Martha Stewart Scroll Lace Border Punch, My Favorite Things Mini Delicate Doilies.

Enjoy,

Teddy Bo & Co., Bo Holding a Pot of Flowers

Hello and welcome here!  It's another card using a new release from Teddy Bo & Co. I remembered to take some photos while I was colouring them for you to see the process.  You can find the action happening over on the Facebook page.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used March17-TeddyBo6, a super cute image of Teddy Bo holding a pot of flowers.  I coloured him with Copics.

Copics Used:
 Bo Fur - E51, E33, E35, E57, E53
Apron - E42, E43
Pot - E93, E95, YR0s, YR14, YR18
Shoes - B91, B93, B95, N7
Hat - E50, E42
Roses - R20, R21, R32, R35, G46
Ground - W2, W3, W4
Sky - BG0000

Recipe:  PP-BoBunny Madeleine Grace, Bazzill CS-mahogany, CTMH CS-White Daisy, My Favorite Things-Inside/Outside Stitched Rectangle & Four Corners, Foam, Pearls, Copics, Verve Stamps SS-Circular Sayings, Versafine Ink-Onyx Black.

Here's my printed piece all ready to be coloured.  I like to die cut it before I start colouring so that I know where my borders are.

Working on the fur.  I didn't like how shaggy Bo got in my last card so I opted to use dots and give him a smoother coat.

All the fur done...except there's a small piece of ear by the top of the flowers that I'll find later.

Finished colouring the apron.  I shaded it in relation to the folds and where the pot would cast a shadow.

Layering up the colour.  I went with the details on the pot for shading.

The pot all finished!  This was a great combination for a terracotta look.

Finished the shoes.  I could have gone a little darker but I tend to worry that I'll get things too dark and end up on the light side.  Wait, that almost sounds like a Star Wars quote, lol.

I finished the roses and started adding the ground colour.  I used dots for the ground, it resembles gravel.

Ground and sky are done, it's ready for a card!

I hope you enjoyed!
Deneen

For this card I used March17-TeddyBo4 and coloured him with Copics.  I was adding fur but wasn't sure if he turned out too shaggy but once I started I couldn't stop.  I'm still on the fence whether I like his fur or not.

A big thank you to Beccy's Place for supplying the DT with images!
 http://beccysplace.com/

I used an image and sentiment from the Garden Silhouette Set.  I used Distress Inks to sponge a background - Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketches.  I was thinking of cutting the sentiment out with a more intricate die and then realized it would kind of go against the saying, lol.  So I stuck with a simple stitched oval die.

The frame is from Frantic Stamper.

Inside:

I added Wink of Stella to the moon to give it some shimmer.

Recipe:  Digital SS-Beccy's Place Garden Silhouette Set, PP-Graphic 45 Christmas Carol Collection Seasonal Sentiments, Frantic Stamper Elemental #7 Coved Labels, My Favorite Things Inside/Out Stitched Ovals, Wink of Stella-Clear, Distress Inks-Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers & Blueprint Sketches, Craft Foam.

Cuttlebug Items Used:
Frantic Stamper Elemental #7 Coved Labels Die

I hope you can join us for the animal challenge,
