Thanks everyone for letting me know you can see it...maybe it just needed a rest, lol. Because I could see it fine this morning too.
Stay tuned for the winner posting.

Oh, oh...
Is it just me or is my background not showing up? It shows up when I check it out on Blogger, but when I open in a new window it's just gray.....man oh man, and I thought I'd go to bed now, lol.
Phew, the last changes for a while:)
Alrighty then, these are the last changes to my blog for a long while. I didn't like that bright green background, so I finally got around to making my own:) (I used Photoshop Elements.)
And little did I know that when I changed the background all...and I mean ALL...my fonts, colours etc. reset back to the default ones. Sooooooo, I had to go in and individually figure out what I liked all over again.
Look for the posting of the winner, and my next Inspired Stamps card later today!!
Enjoy,
Deneen

Kraft Card with Scripture Verse
Hello and welcome here! I was at a loss again for a pretty or descriptive title for my post. I had thought about using 'Heinz 57 Card' but I figured it might leave you scratching your head. I used alot of different companies all on one card, lol, but sometimes that's what it takes to get what I've visualized in my head to paper.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I was on a purple and Kraft CS colour combo kick, I made this at the same time I made my Butterflies Card which you can see HERE. I also made my own background paper by using a swirly stamp around the edge of my Kraft CS. Hmmmm, I'm not liking the photo I have of it here and just might take a better picture later. *Edited to add-I have changed the photos now...they look much better, lol.
There are more and more companies producing stamps that coordinate with Spellbinders Nestabilities and I particularly loved this set by Our Daily Bread called Bird & Butterfly Labels. The verse is from Verve Stamps....lol, told ya this was a Heinz 57 card:)
Inside:
I used chalk to colour in the butterfly, I wanted a nice soft feel to it.
Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Pansy Purple, Petal & Sweet Leaf, CTMH Ink-Pansy Purple, Black, Petal & Desert Sand, CTMH SS-Happy Journey, Our Daily Bread Stamp-Bird & Butterfly Labels, Verve Stamps-Psalm 46:10 & Circular Sayings, JustRite Stamps-Kindness, Inkadinkado Stamps-Butterfly 60-00048, Nestabilities-Labels 18, Impressabilities-Floral & Stone, Marianne Designs-Flourish (Frame) LR0116, Martha Stewart-Scroll Lace Border Punch, Recollections Flowers, Pearls, White Grosgrain Ribbon, White Organdy Ribbon, Foam Squares.
Phew, is it hot enough where you are these days?
We've been having a bit of a heat wave too. Yesterday it was 38C (100F), but of course adding the humidity it feels more like 43C (109F). Let's just say I let the kids watch more TV than usual so that they would come inside to cool down.

I wanted to 'frame' the scripture this week, and decided to do that by layering Fancy Tags 2 from Spellbinders. I finished it off with some tiny pearls. The colours of the patterned paper are soothing to me (green is my favourite colour), so I thought it would go nicely with this verse.
Inside:
Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Isaiah 30:15, 1 Inch Circle Sentiments, Grasses & Flowers, CTMH CS-Black, Cocoa, Vanilla Cream & Bamboo, CTMH Ink-Black & Chocolate, Distress Inks-Vintage Photo, Nestabilities-Fancy Tags 2 & Lacy Ovals, Patterned Paper-?(clearance bin at LSS), Sizzix Flourish #9, Kaiser Kraft Flower, Pearls, Foam Squares, EK Success Wrought Iron Corner Punch.

Inspired Stamps - Butterflies Card
Hello, and welcome here. Today I'm sharing a card made with Inspired Stamps. This week we could choose what we wanted to make. I hadn't used my Kraft CS in a while, and I love purple and Kraft together, and that's how I started my card.
Way back in Dec. '10 Antoinette had the first Contest for Inspired Stampers Favourite Verse and I submitted a verse which was choosen as one of the winners! And that's the verse I decided to use on my card....I love that Antoinette chose to make the verse vertically because it fits perfectly on Spellbinders Fancy Tags.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I have wanted to try using my Copics on Kraft CS and thought this was the perfect opportunity. I didn't want the Copics to bleed through to the back of the card, so I white embossed the flower on a scrap piece of Kraft, coloured it, and cut it out.

Yesterday I woke up to a bit of a shock. My oldest decided she wanted to have longer hair than her younger sister, so she CUT her sister's hair. We're not talking about 2 & 3 year olds here, lol. They are 10 and 9!!!! And her sister LET her cut her gorgeous long hair, ahhhhhhhhh....okay, it's okay Deneen, it will grow back.
Yikes, at least it will be easier for her to take care of at camp:)
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Deneen

In one of the magazines that came out recently I saw a card made with butterflies and lace. I thought I would try my version of them. I found some wide lace at Dollarama that had some sparkle on them to use. I finished off the card with a flower that I dyed myself using Copics. I have a Tutorial on how I did that HERE...just scroll down to the end of the post there.

2 More Flower Soft Cards
Just a quick post to share the last 2 Flower Soft cards I made when I was preparing for a class. We made the first one in class. And the other one I wanted to try out the Flower Soft wires, and I used Liquid Glass/Glossy Accents on the bottles. I didn't think to take a picture of the bottles with the light shining off them before I gave it away.
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
I coloured the bottles with Copics (and because I was just experimenting, I didn't keep track of which ones I used.) Because the one card was going to be used in class, I kept the colouring fairly basic since many ladies haven't used Copics before. The stamp is from Inkadinkado.
I stamped the image and cut around the bottles, and cut the 2 flower bouquets off so that I could add wire flowers instead. I attached it to the card with Foam Squares so that it has a 3D appearance, and looks almost like they are sitting on a mantle.
Enjoy,
Deneen

Inspired Stamps - Patriotic Card
Hello and welcome here! Yes, you're at the right place, lol. I'm still tweaking my blog, I was on the fence about the background and decided to go with a less distracting one. Now it feels a little dark, but I'll let it grow on me a little and see how I feel in a week...or less:)
Very patriotic if I say so myself, lol. I random stamped the background piece using the circle and outline from 1 Inch Circle Sentiments. The star is from Made by..., I used it around the beaded circle, and in the random stamped background. As I was deciding whether I should try to add a bow or knot, the lightbulb went on and I excitedly decided to go with the red ribbon which symbolizes support for our Canadian troops. *Edited to add* I forgot to mention that I hand wrote the word Canada to add to the banner, and the little flag was clipart I printed off the computer.

I used the Inspired Stamps image His Little Ones: Boy Soldier with Helmet. I used my husbands field hat to get the colours right...I wouldn't want to goof on that, or I'd never hear the end of it from hubby, lol:)
Inspired Stamps are designed and proudly made in the US, hence the US uniform, but that didn't stop me from tweaking it to make it Canadian. As you can see I added a bit of brown in the uniform, and altered it to include the Canadian flag. On the CADPAT (combat uniform) there is only a name tag, so I added hubby's surname, and camouflaged the other one.

This week the Inspired Stamps DT is to showcase a project that is Patriotic. July 1st was Canada Day which celebrated Canada's 144th Birthday, I went with a red and white theme (our flag colours).
Another show of support for our troops is Red Friday, quoted from the Red Fridays Foundation of Canada "Wearing Red on Fridays is a symbolic gesture to show fellow Canadians and our troops that we care and honour those who fought for our freedom, our peace, our resolve."
