Swap Items

I was involved in this great swap with some CTMH Sista's. These were the items that I made to swap. We were to make 10 baggies with 10 images in each one. We'd end up getting 90 images back!!!

We were to make images that the other person could use right away on layout or card. I'm more of a card maker, so my images leaned in that direction.

The first image is for a card. I used the Cuttlebug EF Bloom Dots as a border behind my image.
The second image is a simple Happy Birthday sentiment highlighted with 4 square pewter brads.
I tried to make a variety of images. One for a baby, which I coloured in with pencil crayons, and one for a shower, wedding or birthday card.
I really liked these floral images. Again, it could be used for a birthday or wedding/shower.
For the image on the left, I embossed it in white, and then sponge daubed ink to fill in the colour. I then cut it out and used 3D foam squares to attach it to the background.
I punched textured white CS with my oval scallop punch and then went around each scallop and punched a hole with my hole punch to give it a lacy feel.
Enjoy, and thanks for looking,
Deneen

Scripture Cards

I needed some Scripture cards, and tried to make ones that can be used for Sympathy, Thinking of You, Get Well etc.

For this card, I wanted a sort of monochromatic-type card. I used chalk to fill in the lighthouse image and used glitter to make the light sparkle. I used the computer to print the sentiment on CS, and then punched it out using my oval scallop punch.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Moonstruck, Lilac Mist, Black and White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Moonstruck, CTMH SS-Adorable Backgrounds and Nantucket Retreat, Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, VersaMark Ink, Chalk, Glitter, 3D Foam Squares.

Here's a close-up of the Lighthouse.

For this card I used the 23rd Psalm from CTMH SS Come Unto Me as the focal point. I really like how it looks like old parchment.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Chocolate, Bamboo, Black, Brown Bag and Vanilla Cream, CTMH Ink-Chocolate, Bamboo and Black, CTMH SS-Come Unto Me and Adorable Backgrounds, Chalk, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Photo Hanger.
Here's a close-up of the sentiment. I used the edge of the chocolate ink pad to edge the sentiment, and then went over it with chalk to soften it and give it that aged look.
The Bamboo CS underneath, I wrinkled first, and then went over it with the stamp pad to highlight some of the wrinkles. Here's a close-up of that.
This is the inside of the card, I wanted it to be strong because I used the 23rd Psalm as a focal point on the front. The dove is from the CTMH SS Faith.

This card is straight forward. I used CTMH SS Elegant Script to spell 'praying'. I used chalk to make the flower pop. I sponge daubed the edges to soften the look.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Indian Corn Blue, Outdoor Denim and White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Outdoor Denim, Black, Grey Wool and Lilac Mist, CTMH SS-Elegant Script, Doodle Alphabet, For Every Occasion and Sweet Flowers, VersaMark Ink, Chalk, Pewter Brads.
I kept the 'Praying For You' sentiment, but changed the look of the card. I inked the flower and stems, and then went over them with chalk to soften the look.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Garden Green, Spring Iris, New England Ivy and White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Grey Wool, Lilac Mist, Spring Iris, Garden Green, CTMH SS-Elegant Script, For Every Occasion and Doodle Alphabet, Chalk, Prima Flowers, Glitter.
As you can tell, I really like the one stamp from CTMH SS Adorable Backgrounds. I coloured in the hands with pencil crayons and chalk around the hands with a grey colour to highlight them. The sentiment I attached with a 3D foam square.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Garden Green, New England Ivy, Outdoor Denim and White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, CTMH SS-Faith and Adorable Backgrounds, Garden Green Bigger Brad, White Organdy Ribbon, Chalk.
I love making cards! I gotta go make some now, lol.
Enjoy,
Deneen

More Miscellaneous Cards.

I have some more cards that I have done over the past couple of years and wanted to share with you.

This card was inspired by Heather Holbrook, a CTMH Sista. I used fancy scissors to cut a frame for the picture, and then used 3D foam squares to attach it to the card. I used liquid glass to highlight the ladybug's antenna. I used a sponge and ink to add some texture to the green background.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Sweet Leaf, White Daisy and Ponderosa Pine, CTMH Ink-Black and New England Ivy, CTMH SS-Random Thoughts, Love In Bloom and Wonderful Charms, Pencil Crayons, Liquid Glass.
This card was lifted from Lydia Dueck, a CTMH Sista. I random stamped the background with the Alfresco SS from CTMH.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Autumn Terracotta, White Daisy and Buttercup, CTMH Ink-Autumn Terracotta and Black, CTMH SS-Alfresco and You're Special, Sassy Strands.

The next 2 cards I was experimenting with different colours than I would normally choose. And of course, I was playing with my Cuttlebug.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Pansy Purple, Amethyst, Textured White Daisy, Orchid Bouquet and Watermelon, CTMH Ink-Pansy Purple and Grey Flannel, CTMH SS-Best Wishes, Cuttlebug EF-Perfectly Paisley, Cuttlebug DC-Scribble Flower and Ornamental.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Ocean, Breeze, Hydrangea, Amethyst and Textured White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Ocean and Grey Flannel, CTMH SS-Best Wishes, Cuttlebug EF-Swiss Dots, Cuttlebug DC-Scribble Flower and Ornamental.

This card I lifted from Sonja Skarbo, a CTMH Sista.
Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bamboo and Silhouette B&T Duos, CTMH Ink-Black and Grey Flannel, CTMH SS-Gracious Greetings and Lovely Lace, Prima Flowers, Glitter (in the middle of the flowers)

This card I made for a colour challenge...again, I wanted to play with colours I normally wouldn't use.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Baby Pink, Bubblegum, Kiwi, Petal and White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Petal, Kiwi, Bubblegum, Baby Pink and Black, CTMH SS-Serendipity and Simple Blossoms.

This card I made for a Swap. I masked a section of white CS and then brayered over the exposed CS. I then tore the edges after inking so that the white would show up on the darker CS.

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Spring Iris and Petal, CTMH Ink-Heavenly Blue, Petal, Pansy Purple and Garden Green, CTMH SS-Sweet Flowers, Elegant Script and Life Is So Good, Sassy Strands, White Brad.
This card I made quite a while ago, but I liked how the Sassy Strands seem to make the star 'shoot' across the card.
Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Pansy Purple and Crchis Bouquet, CTMH Ink-Orchid Bouquet, Pansy Purple, Spring Iris and Outdoor Denim, Sassy Strands.
I had just got my scallop oval punch and made this card with it.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Lilac Mist, Textured White Daisy, Sweet Leaf and Blush B&T Duos, CTMH Ink-Spring Iris, Outdoor Denim, Black and Grey Flannel, CTMH SS-Gracious Greetings, Cuttlebug EF-Swirls, CTMH Autumn Daisy Flowers, White Brad, Rhinestone.

Well, I hope I've inspired you.
