Universal Backgrounds Stamp Set

I am really loving the new stamp set from CTMH called Universal Backgrounds. Here are 2 cards I made recently, using the 'script' from this set. The set comes with script, music notes, woodgrain, and mesh. It's really easy to repeat the pattern if necessary, epecially because the stamps are CLEAR!
.
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
.
This card was inspired by one I saw recently on Lauren Meader's blog. I loved the colour combo, and the torn edges with the butterfly peeking through.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Olive, Desert Sand & Colonial White, CTMH Ink-Olive, Cocoa, Desert Sand, Bamboo & Black, CTMH SS-Universal Backgrounds, Butterfly Wings & Treasure Life, Satin Edge Organdy Ribbon, Pearls.

This card I made for a swap I was in. I love using the script behind the silhouette of the flowers. Not sure what I did that caused the watermark to show up in the middle of the picture, at least you can still see the card.

It's Tilda Time:)

I have another Tilda card to share with you today. She's been sitting on my desk for over a month now. I wanted to try colouring black hair, and then using my CTMH stamp set Flower Pot for the window. I got stuck with what flowers to add to the card...big, small, flat, 3D, I had my friend Wendy (hi Wendy) help me out:) She's a Magnolia lover as well.
.
The card didn't turn out quite as cheery as I had imagined it, but maybe it suits Longing Tilda.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
.
Recipe: CTMH PP-Floral Impressions, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Garden Green, Petal, Lilac Mist & Baby Pink, CTMH Ink-Chocolate, CTMH SS-Flower Pot & Universal Backgrounds, Memento Black Ink, Magnolia SS-Longing Tilda, Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch, Pearls, Foam Squares, Cuttlebug Vintage Die, Flower Punch.
Copics Used:
Skin-YR0000, YR00, E00, R02
Hair-C3, 5 & 7, 100
Dress-Y11, 17 & 21 (polka dots-white gel pen)
Shutters/Window Box-E31, 33 & 37, 100 (wood grain stamped with CTMH Universal Backgrounds)
.
Here's a close-up of the cutie-pie.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy,

Birthday Cards

Welcome here! These cards are a little over-exposed, but you can still see the details. I had them ready to post quite a while ago, but never got around to filling in the details. So I told myself to sit down and do it already, lol
.
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
This is a super simple card to make, just 2 pieces of B&T Paper, some lace, a tag and some flowers.
Recipe: CTMH PP-Sweetheart, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Blush, Vineyard Berry, Olive & New England Ivy, CTMH SS-Happy Birthday & Happy Forever.
.
This card was difficult to photograph because I made my own homemade shimmer mist (in a spritzer add some rubbing alcohol, a drop of CTMH Create-A-Shade Paint & a few drops of CTMH Re-Inker). I stamped the doily image (new CTMH SS-Simple Memories) with Versamark and clear embossed it. I then sprayed the cardstock with my homemade shimmer mist and wiped the image off...just in case any ink stayed on it. I really is shimmery, but it's difficult to photograph.
Recipe: CTMH CS-Lagoon, Black & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Breeze, CTMH SS-Simple Memories, Happy Birthday & Curly Sentiments, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch, Pearls, Mist-Rubbing Alcohol, Create-A-Shade Paint & Ocean Reinker.
.
Enjoy!

Dresser Stair Step Template Correction!!!

Hello, and welcome here!! Okay, so either you guys were so frustrated with my template, you chucked it out and vowed never to visit again, or you are so smart, you figured out my mistake on your own:) I did a class at the LSS and found out I had typed out the wrong measurement!!

Yikes, what a way to find out, lol. After 10 minutes of the pressure on to figure out why no one's piece was lying flat, and recutting 8 pieces, we ended smoothly:) I was just glad I could figure out what was wrong!

So here's the correct measurement in RED. And HERE is the original post.

Thanks for stopping by, I've been busy colouring and hope to have at least 6 new cards to share in a few days!

3 More Guy Cards!

Oh where, oh where has my little Deneen gone, oh where, oh where could she beeeeeeee? In one word...sick. Ugh, but I did have these cards edited and ready to go, so I'm taking a few minutes to post them.
.
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
Recipe: CTMH PP-Lucky, CTMH CS-Outdoor Denim, Sky & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Tulip & Pacifica, CTMH SS-A Little Everything, A Timber & Card Commentary, Cuttlebug Diamond Plate EF, Foam Squares, Brads.
.
I saw a card by Mary-Jo Price where she used a gift for the letter 'a' in Happy, so I wanted to try it out too. It turned out great, especially for a guy's card, which is always difficult to think up ideas for. I used the back side of CTMH paper Lucky, the card below uses the front side. I can't seem to find my photo of the inside, but I stamped the word 'Celebrate' along the bottom edge of the card...from Card Commentary.
.
Recipe: CTMH PP-Lucky, CTMH CS-Outdoor Denim & Colonial White, CTMH Ink-Black, Outdoor Denim, Olive, New England Ivy, Buttercup & Honey, CTMH SS-A Little Everything, Candlelight & Wonderful Friend, CTMH Outdoor Denim Twill Ribbon, Rhinestones, Nestabilities-Labels 17, Foam Squares.
.
This card was inspired by one I saw on Vicki Wizniuk's blog. It's clean and simple, I love how it works with this card.
.
The inside:

.
Last, but not least:
Recipe: CTMH PP-Rustic Trail, CTMH CS-Colonial White, Garden Green & Indian Corn Blue, CTMH Ink-Black, Indian Corn Blue, Buttercup & Honey, CTMH SS-Candlelight & Happy Birthday, Distress Inks-Vintage Photo, Brown Grosgrain Ribbon, Anitque Copper Brads, Foam Squares, Cuttlebug EF-Traffic Jam, Diamond Plate, Spots & Dots, & Argyle, Tim Holtz EF-Brick Wall.
.
This card took a little more time to make, but I love how it turned out. I saw one made by Tracey (whose last name I didn't save) and she made a Christmas card out of white squares, with one square wrapped like a gift....I love being inspired by other people's work. I needed some masculine cards, so I made it work for me. The inside is stamped with a candle, like the card above.
.
Okay, I'm super tired now and need to go lie down. Hope you have a great weekend! And I hope to be feeling better....sooner than later please:)

Hearts of Paper & Instructions

Hello, and welcome here!

I saw these hearts on Jen del Muro's blog, and knew I had to give them a try. I figured they would be a great window decoration to celebrate Valentine's Day. I added instructions on how I made mine at the bottom of this post.
.
Heart Size: 8" x 6"

Recipe: BoBunny-Crushed Stripe, CTMH Black CS.
.
You can really make different variations. Add more strips, or attach them closer together/farther apart, string several together to make a garland, add flowers and other embellishments, etc.
Recipe: CTMH PP-Sweetheart, CTMH Black CS.
.
Here I used plain CS and a border punch.

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Red Textured CS, Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch.
.
Recipe: BoBunny-Crazy Love Fudge And Flowers, CTMH Chocolate CS.
.
Recipe: CTMH White Daisy CS, Red Textured CS, Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Border Punch.
.
Heart Instructions:

Forgot to add - Attach the shortest piece to the 2.5" mark you made on the Center Piece, the next to the 3.5" mark, and the longest piece to the 4.5" mark.
Hope the instructions are clear enough:)
.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy,
Deneen
