More Flower Soft Cards

Hello, and welcome here! I have a couple of cards I made while trying out Flower Soft to share with you today.

Card Size: 4.25" square

Yeah, I know, I'm a little behind on the Spring look, but I couldn't help myself when I saw the Sweet Pea Flower Soft. The photo doesn't really do the Flower Soft justice, it is very pretty IRL. I also figured since I have a new blog look, I should redo my Watermark as well:) The sky I sponged....you can find instructions HERE.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy & Vineyard Berry, CTMH Ink-Chocolate, Olive, Sky & Black, CTMH SS-Card Chatter-Sympathy, Inkadinkado-93174 Trees, Nestabilities-Lacey Squares & Squares, Flower Soft-Sweet Pea.

And here is a simple card we are doing in my Card Class at Scrapbook Cottage...showcasing that you can use Flower Soft like a frame. I think next time I would make it closer to the edge.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Buttercup, Sweet Leaf & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, CTMH SS-Say It In Style, Nestabilities-Ovals, Fancy Tags & Labels 18, Cuttlebug Cassie's Brocade EF, Foam Squares, Flower Soft-Heather, Corner Rounder.

A New Look

Did you take a second look to make sure you were at the right blog??? I figured it was time for a new look, lol, so yup, you made it to the right place.

Now if I can only figure out how to center my blog Header and Canada Flag....hmmmmm, if you have any hints, I'd be happy to hear them. I've spent quite a while already trying to figure it out. Thanks for popping in to check out my 'facelift'

Inspired Stamps - BEARS all things card

Hello, and welcome here! Today I have another card made with Inspired Stamps. I used the stamp set BEARS all things....so cute:)

Card Size: 4" round

I made 2 other backgrounds before I settled on this one. The other 2 were too busy, it overpowered the bear. I'm glad I re-did it...twice, lol, I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

I posted the stamp set below, I used the 2 paws but thought it would look better grounded with legs, so I just stamped the legs part of the full bear and cut them out.

Inside:

Inspired Stamps Used: BEARS all things

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-BEARS all things, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Lilac Mist, CTMH Ink-Black, Spring Iris & Creme Brulee, Nestabilities-Circles, Big Scalloped Circles & Labels 17, Cuttlebug Swirls EF, Ribbon-Michaels, Pearls, Foam Squares, Copics-C1, W1, R83, B29.

Here's what comes with the stamp set.

My First Post for Inspired Stamps!

Hello and welcome here! Last week I mentioned that I made the Design Team over at Inspired Stamps. This week the DT is posting our first artwork for Inspired Stamps. We were to use a Verse and a Flower. Here is my contribution:

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I stamped the clouds using THIS method with sponge and ink. For the grass I used 1st and 2nd generation stamping (stamp the grass, and without reinking stamp the grass again).

Inside:

The words 'You are in my prayers' comes with the Inspired Stampers' Favorite Collection #1, but of course it goes perfectly with the image.
Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Inspired Stampers' Favorite Collection #1, Flowers, Grasses & Girl Praying, CTMH PP-Miracle, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Topiary, CTMH Ink-Garden Green, Sky, Black & Topiary, Memento Black Ink, Copics-RV00, RV10, RV32, YG95 & YG97, Nestabilities-Labels 17, Labels 18 & Fancy Tags Two, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Foam Squares, Pearls.

Antoinette will have the DT samples on her blog tomorrow (June 23rd), so click on the link below to head on over there and be 'Inspired'!

Flower Soft

Welcome here. I'm teaching a Flower Soft class at The Scrapbook Cottage and of course I had to play around with it first. If you can believe it, I had never used it before. I figured I didn't really need it....wellllll, let me tell you, now I HAVE to have it, lol!

Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
This is one card we will be making in the class.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Petal & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Olive & Creme Brulee, CTMH SS-Card Chatter-Sympathy, Cuttlebug Heritage EF, Dew Drops-Orchid, Nestabilities-Labels 14, Foam Squares, White Organdy Ribbon, Flower Soft-Heather.

I wanted to play around and see what Flower Soft looked like on a coloured background. (We're not making this one in class). This was a bit of an oopsie card, but I couldn't just leave it partly finished, so I fixed it up the best I could...crooked sentiment, the edges of Labels 14 I sponged in a different colour and then changed my mind and then thought I should have left it the first time around:)

Enjoy,

Deneen

Gone Fishing

Welcome here! And no, I didn't take off again:), but the little guy in my card did. This stamp is called Fishing Fun by Gillian Rogers., and is coloured with Copics. It was a sample I made up for Sharon at The Scrapbook Cottage. The paper was from Bo Bunny (if I remember correctly, yikes). The paperclip arrow I found at Office Depot.

Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
Since this post is so short, I decided to throw in another sample I made up for The Scrapbook Cottage. I like to keep my samples on the Clean and Simple side of things. This stamp is called Happy Family by Gillian Rogers, and is coloured with Copics.

Well, that's all I have to share with you today, thanks for stopping by.

3 Cards With My New-to-me Schtuff:)

Hello, welcome here. I've been neglecting my Craft Space and my blog for a while, but I'm back now:) And to celebrate my return, lol, I have 3 cards to share with you today, so it's a bit of a long post, enjoy!

.
All Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"

.

For my Butterfly card, I used a new punch (new to me, for my Birthday, lol), and a new-to-me Butterfly Stamp. I saw a card somewhere in blogland with the same punch idea, but I didn't save it or take note of where I saw it, so if it's you....thanks for sharing your idea:)

.

To punch across the card, and still have it line up nicely, (and not curse at your card and punching skills) open the card up and punch the middle first....so that the score line is in the middle of the punch. Then punch out to the edges, you have less space to make an error then, because a little mispunch along the way ends up magnified by the time you get to the end....if you know what I mean, lol, otherwise just ignore my ramblings:)

.

I Black Embossed the Butterfly and sponged the colour on the Butterfly's wings. I cut a reverse mask out so that the ink would not go outside the Butterfly wings. I finished it off with a little Glitter along the outside edge of the wings.

.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Sweet Leaf & Pansy Purple, CTMH Ink-Creme Brulee, Black, Petal, Heavenly Blue, Sweet Leaf & Garden Green, CTMH SS-Treasure Life & Sweet Flowers, Inkadinkado Butterfly Stamp, Versamark, Black Embossing Powder, Martha Stewart Garden Trellis & Butterfly Punches, Nestabilities-Big Scalloped Ovals, Marianne Design LR0116 (Florish/Frame Set), Recollections Mini Round Gems, Foam Squares, Copic C01, Glitter Ritz, Little Yellow Bicycle Purple Pansy Paper.

.

Blessings Card.

I have been seeing some beautiful dies and embossing folders that are from the UK. I finally weakened enough to purchase some from the UK! I am so excited I did, and it was delivered just as fast, if not faster, than some of the packages I've received from the US....it came in only 9 days!!!!!

.

It's a very straight forward, but elegant card.

.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy & Petal, CTMH Ink-Black & Petal, CTMH SS-Friendship blessings, Say It In Style & Miracle, Marianne Design LR0116 (Frame/Florish Set), Craft Concepts Budding Vine EF, Kaiser Craft Flower, Nestabilities Labels 18, Pearls, Foam Squares.

.

Thinking of You.

The card is also straight forward. But the way I make it wouldn't know it, lol! It wasn't until after everything was attached (and I attach things securely, I don't like my cards falling apart), I decide to add ribbon, and not grosgrain (which can be easy to attach after the fact), but noooooooo, I had to decide on organdy. Which meant I had to lift up edges very carefully so that I didn't rip anything, and then attach the edge of the ribbon with my Sookwang tape...and Sookwang is very, very, did I mention very, sticky double sided tape. Yikes. And as those that follow me know, I make 4-6 of the same card....this one I had to make 6 because before I added the ribbon, they were speedy to make:)

.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-Sweet Leaf & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, & Sweet Leaf, CTMH SS-For Every Occasion & Eclectic Edges, Sizzix Thank-you Set #5 EF, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Ribbon.

.

And last, but definitely not the least:) my guy!!! And what could he be sitting in!?! Wait a minute, I think it's..........why yes, IT IS!! It's my light box!! Or what's left of my light box, lol. But it makes a perfect car mom! And to think, even after my little mischief-maker got a hold of it, I was still able to use it for taking the pictures of my cards today:)

Enjoy,

Deneen
