Inspired Stamps Christmas Tags

Hello and welcome here! This week the Inspired Stamps DT is showcasing Christmas stamps. I chose to showcase them on tags. They were alot of fun to create, and I had a hard time deciding whether I should make traditional colours or fun/funky colours. So I ended up doing BOTH!

Tag Size: 3: x 5.5"

There isn't much to say about how I made them. I cut out the circles, then stamped the sentiment on them, and attached them with foam squares to the tag. It hard to see, but the square is embossed with the corners from the Cuttlebug Heritage EF.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-1.5" Circle-Christmas, Patterned Paper-BoBunny Father Christmas Collection & Blitzen Collection, CTMH CS-Kraft, White Daisy, Tulip & Colonial White, CTMH Ink-Tulip, Ponderosa & Creme Brulee, Nestabilities-Lacy Squares, Beaded Circles, Eyelet Circles & Circles, Marianne Designs-Flourish-LR0116, Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon, Lace Ribbon, Red Pearls, Red Stickles, Copic-G28, Cuttlebug Heritage EF, Tonic Ticket Corner Punch, Hole Punch, Foam Squares.

Inspired Stamps Used:
1.5" Circles-Christmas

Tag Size: 3" x 5.5"

These tags were alot of fun to make too! I used some older Christmas paper I've had laying around. Tags are perfect for using up those scraps that are just a little too big to throw out but not quite big enough for a whole card. I layered up the sentiments on these tags like I did the first ones, but I highlighted some of the words with coloured paper to give it a bit of a punch.

Top Tip Tuesday - A Card with Ribbons

Hello and welcome here. This is my 3rd week as Guest Designer for Top Tip Tuesday Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is Use 2 or More Ribbons, it can include twine/lace/fabric. Sounds like fun, right? TTT has a tutorial to share with you on how to make a ruffled ribbon. Here is my card using 3 ribbons.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

The Sponsor's for this week are:

Head on over to TTT to find out all the details on how you could be a winner of some great prizes.

On my card I mentioned I used 3 ribbons. I made a Ruffled Ribbon by using Seam Binding Ribbon and holding on to a couple of the middle strands and pushing the ribbon down to ruffle it. For the Ribbon Flower I cut a circle out of Sookwang double sided tape removing the backing from one side to reveal the adhesive. I then began in the center and twirled the organdy ribbon around, twisting as I went. I finished off the flower with a couple of Ribbon Leaves.

I kept the inside nice and simple:

Recipe: Patterned Paper-BoBunny Welcome Home Collection 6x6 & Fancy Pants-Splendid Lovey Dovey, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Twilight & Sweet Leaf, CTMH Ink-Black & Creme Brulee, Stampabilities-True Friends, Nestabilities-Lacy Squares, Classic Squares Lg, Standard Circles Sm & Labels 16, Martha Stewart-Cherish Border Punch, Frond Punch & Scroll Lace Corner Punch, White Seam Binding, Pink Organdy Ribbon, Light Green Organdy Ribbon, Pearls, Recollections-Pearl Brad & Floral Embellishments, Rhinestones, Foam Squares, Sookwang Tape.

Head on over to TTT and see what the DT did with Ribbon!

A Couple of Masculine Cards

Hello and welcome here! I have a couple of masculine cards to share with you today. We needed a couple for work and so this was what I whipped up one evening last week.

Card Size: 5" x 7"

This card needed to be bigger so that everyone at work could sign a little message inside. I love how it turned out. I used BoBunny's Timepiece papers. I used CTMH-Beautiful Things stamp and Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the image.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

This card didn't need to be as big because it was sent on behalf of the staff. I used the same paper and stamps, just changed up the Nestabilities I used, and the sentiment.

The inside was the same for both cards:

Recipe: Patterned Paper-BoBunny Timepiece, CTMH CS- White Daisy, Black, Colonial White & Cocoa, CTMH Ink-Black, New England Ivy & Desert Sand, Distress Inks-Vintage Photo, CTMH SS-Beautiful Things, Nestabilities-Labels 4, Fancy Tags 2, Fancy Tags, Classic Rectangles, Labels 17 & Labels 23, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Recollections Mini Gems, Foam Squares, Rhinestones.

Inspired Stamps Fall Card

Hello and welcome here! How did you enjoy Inspired Stamps Sneak Peek Week last week? Antoinette outdid herself, the new stamps are great!!

This week, the DT is sharing their Fall inspired projects. I made a card with Fall colours.

4.25" x 5.5"

I used BoBunny's Forever Fall Collection for my card. I matched my flower to the Fall colours using my Copics. The card is made in 3 layers, the red patterned paper and cream is the base layer, the red frame cut with Spellbinder's Labels 4 is the next layer, and the orange layer is the top layer.

Here's a close-up of the flower. I used EK Success Tile Stickers for the center of my flower.

The inside of the card...I am loving the circle sentiments Antoinette created. This one comes with the Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2 & Flowers, Patterned Paper-BoBunny Forever Fall Collection & Forever Fall Collection 6x6, CTMH CS-Black, Colonial White, Honey & Cranberry, CTMH Ink-Black, Nestabilities-Petite Ovals Large & Labels 18, Nellie Snellen Corners Die, Martha Stewart Frond & Hydrangea Punches, Copics-YR14, Y08, Y19, R05, W7, White Gel Pen, EK Success Tile Stickers, Stickles-Golden Rod, Rhinestones coloured with YR14.

Top Tip Tuesday Guest Designer Post #2

Hello and welcome here. This is my second week as a Guest Designer over on Top Tip Tuesday!! This week the Challenge is 1 for the Kids. The Tutorial shared this week is a Tear-off Bookmark Card. I have never made one before, and had alot of fun creating my card.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5" (closed)

Many Halloween costumes are bright colours for the kids, so I went with non-traditional Fall/Halloween colours for my card. I do like to think out-of-the-box:) I coloured my image with Copics, and added pink rhinestones around the Lacy Oval.

The Sponsor's for this week are:

I want to give a big thank-you to Karen's Doodles for supplying the image I used, called Kitty Cat. Isn't it super cute!! I had so much fun colouring the image. Thanks so much!!!

Here are some more shots of the card as you open it!

The bookmark is folded in the card. Mine measures 2" across.

Here's the card fully open. I decided to decorate the bookmark like the front of the card. There's a close-up below.

I was resistant to digital stamps for a long time, but one of the perks is that you can resize your image, and crop out other parts. I opened the image in Publisher and cropped the little girl to exclude the cat. I then cropped the girl out and kept the cat, and added the saying 'I love to read'!

Recipe: Stamps-Karen's Doodles Kitty Cat & Verve Stamps Practically Perfect, Patterned Paper-BoBunny Vicki B Perky, CTMH CS-Hollyhock, Cocoa & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Creme Brulee, Nestabilities-Lacy Ovals, Ovals, Fancy Tags & Curved Rectangles, Craft Concepts-Budding Vine EF, CTMH Sweet Leaf Ribbon, CTMH Chocolate Buttons, Rhinestones, Green Baker's Twine, Computer Font-Kylie's Hand, EK Success Corner Rounder, Foam Squares, Martha Stewart Floral Tile Anywhere Punch, Copics.

Another Bendy Fold Card!

Hello and welcome here! After I made my Nativity Bendy Fold Card, I wanted to make one with Butterflies. I posted Instructions on how to make one HERE, just scroll towards the bottom of the post. For those coming to The Scrapbook Cottage's Creative Gathering, this is one of the cards I am teaching!!

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

It's a happy butterfly day! I punched out the smaller butterflies with my various Martha Stewart punches from white CS, then I sponged daubed Antique Linen to soften the white...I didn't use cream CS because I didn't want a 'flat' look to my butterflies or clouds.

I used Martha Stewart's Vintage Floral Border punch along the top of the flaps that open. It adds a bit of softness to the card. I sponged daubed Distress Inks Tea Dye along the edges of the card sections to give it a finished look. I used the Vintage Floral Corner punch at the top of the middle section to tie it all in.

Here is the card with the smaller flap open. I didn't add a thing to the back of the flap except the Tea Dye ink around the edges.

With both flaps open. I made a 'hill' out of cream CS and Paper Trey Ink Edgers #2 Die, it's also the perfect spot to write your message.

This is the back of the card with both flaps open. I added a fence with Martha Stewart's Garden Trellis punch, and added flowers with Martha Stewart's Hydrangea Punch. Hmmmm, I'm beginning to see a pattern here, lol, I should call this a Martha Stewart card for all the punches I used on it:)

Here's a closer view of the middle section on the back of the card. I added Platinum Stickles to the middle of the flowers.

For the big butterfly I used Spellbinder's Wonderful Wings die. I cut the shadow piece from vellum that was covered with Sookwang tape. I then removed the backing on the adhesive and placed my cream CS inked with Antique Linen butterfly on top of the adhesive. I then added Glitter Ritz Warm Highlights to the exposed adhesive. Glitter Ritz is a micro fine glitter.

Recipe: Patterned Paper-My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Mabel "Love" Letters, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Colonial White, CTMH SS-SAy It In Style, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Tea Dye & Antique Linen, Nestabilities-Wonderful Wings, Martha Stewart-Vintage Floral Corner & Border Punch, Garden Trellis, Small Butterflies, Medium Monarch Butterfly & Hydrangea, Paper Trey Ink-Edger's #2 Die & Clouds, Vellum, Glitter Ritz-Warm Highlights, Cream Pearls, Pink Pearls, Mint Grosgrain Ribbon, Platinum Stickles, Foam Squares, Sookwang Adhesive.

Top Tip Tuesday Guest Designer

Hello and welcome here!!! I'm so excited to share with you that the card I had entered at Top Tip Tuesday (TTT) Shabby Chic Challenge won Special On The Spot Prize!! You can see all the details HERE. As a result of that card, I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the month over on Top Tip Tuesday!!!! How exciting is that!?!

TTT is celebrating its 1st Birthday and so the Challenge is - BIRTHDAY. Here is my card to help inspire you.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

This type of card is called a Wiper Card...that is the Tip being shared over on TTT this week, and you can find a Tutorial of the Wiper Card at TTT on how to make one yourself.

Here's what it looks like open, the 4 pops out of the top of the card!!

If you choose to join in the TTT Challenge and link your creation, you have a chance at winning a prize from one of this week's Sponsors:

I want to thank Robyn's Fetish for giving me the image I used today...isn't he cute? It's a digital image called Fireman Jim, and he's mine to keep, just for being a Guest Designer. Thanks so much!!

Now for some more images of my Wiper Card.

Here is a top view of the card. I was trying to think of what I should have popping out of the card, and I thought the birthday boys age would be fantastic. I used my Slice to cut the number, and shadow out. I embossed the number 4 with D'vine Swirl and added Stickles to make it look like flames! I trimmed around the base of the 4 so that the excess wiper part wouldn't be seen.

I also wanted to embellish the back of the card...I thought it would be the perfect place where you could write a message to the birthday boy. From the back view the 4 didn't look so nice so using the Slice again, I cut out the shadow for the 4 and then attached it to the back. The Wiper piece is now hidden between the front layers and the back layer.

I used Copics to colour him in, and added a few details with a white gel pen.
Skin-E000, E00, YR00
Hair-E23
Jacket-Y15, N7
Hat/Boots-R08, R27, N7...silver gel pen for the badge
Hose-E42, E43...Smooch Gold Lame for the nozzle
Sky-BG0000, BG00

I added Stickles to the swirls and the yellow piece to make it look like fire.

I tried to catch the shine from the silver gel pen and gold Smoochin this photo. I also added a few Stickles to the water spraying out of the hose.

Recipe: Digital Stamp-Robyn's Fetish Fireman Jim, Verve Stamps-Practically Perfect, CTMH SS-Happy Birthday, Paper-FancyPants-It's Your Day & About A Girl, CTMH CS-Sky, Tulip & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Desert Sand, Slice-Playground Fonts, Nestabilities-Labels 18 & Ovals, EK Success-Fountain of Fun Corner Punch, Stickles-Candy Cane, Lemonade Ice & Crystal Ice, Cuttlebug-D'vine Swirl EF, Martha Stewart Ribbon Loop Border Punch, Recollections Mini Round Gems, Green Grosgrain Ribbon dyed with Copic YG95.

Don't forget to link your Birthday Creation for a chance to win, over at Top Tip Tuesday. Maybe YOU could be chosen as a Guest Designer.
