Inspired Stamps Happy New Year Card

Hello and welcome here! This week the Inspired Stamps DT is sharing New Years creations with you, so be sure to check out what they've created, their links are in my sidebar.

I have to tell you this card gave me the run around, lol. I had hit a creative block and couldn't seem to create something new, so I went with some 'old' ideas for my New Years card:) It's not the fanciest of cards I've made, but sweet and simple.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

My fall back design for cards is to choose 2 different patterened papers, and separate them with a border, or ribbon. Then I couldn't seem to figure out what to do for an image/sentiment. I really liked the idea I used last week inside my card with the tree, so I copied that idea for the front...and used some Spring-like colours. This time I used a piece of thread to loop around the tree branch to hold the sign. I sponged the clouds, and used foam squares to add the tree and sentiment.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Ask, Seek, Knock, Grasses, 1" Circle Sentiments, Labelmaker Alphabet & Blessed Little Christmas, CTMH PP-Miracle, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Olive, CTMH Ink-Black, Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Breme Brulee & Sky, Nestabilities-Labels 14 & Labels 20, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Brown Thread, Rhinestones, Foam Squares, Copics-G24 & E15.

Inspired Stamps Used:
Ask, Seek, Knock (tree)
Grasses (grass)
1" Circle Sentiments (sentiment)
Label Maker Alphabet (frame)
Blessed Little Christmas (stars)

Inspired Stamps Christmas Card

Hello and welcome here! Only a few more days until Christmas, I can't wait, I so enjoy the Christmas season...the music, celebrating Christ's birth, the fun, the food:) This week the Inspired Stamps DT is sharing Christmas cards with you so be sure to check out their blogs, their links are in my sidebar. I made a clean and simple card to share.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I brayered the background, stamped the verse, and added the girl with foam squares. I attached a circle before I brayered my ink so that it looked like a nice moonlit night. I've enjoyed making white cards lately and thought this image would 'pop' on white.

I added Silver Ice Stickles along the bottom of the background image so that it looked like sparkly snow.

Inside:

I used a couple of different stamps sets to finish the inside of the card, which I thought turned out just a great as the front!

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-His Little Ones-Winter Girl, Blessed Little Christmas, Ask, Seek, Knock & Labelmaker Alphabet, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Dutch Blue, Chocolate, Cocoa & Tulip, Cuttlebug Grace's Frame EF, EK Success Interlaced Corner Punch, Corner Rounder, White Organdy Ribbon, Silver Ice Stickles, Black Felt Pen, Blue Rhinestones, Copics: Skin-E000, E00, YR01, R20, Hair-E13, E15, E08, E09, Earmuffs-R46, Coat-YR30, YR31, Skirt-B26.

Hello and welcome here! Are you ready for Christmas?? Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Isn't she sweet? I want to give a big thank-you to Karen's Doodles for supplying this digital image called Christmas Wonder. I coloured her using Copics, and kept things white so that it wouldn't detract from the image. I added white organdy ribbon, and some Stickles to finish it off. I didn't have the stamp I wanted so I stamped 'Christmas' and took a black felt pen and added the work 'Wonder'. I thought I did a pretty good job with matching the font.

This Week's Sponsor's

Karen's Doodles - 3 digi's of your choice

and
Stash Books - offering a book for the featured Tipper

Here's a shot of the Stickles I added to give it a bit of a sparkle.

Recipe: Digital Image-Karen's Doodles Christmas Wonder, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, CTMH SS-A Little Everything, Sizzix Snowflake & Flourish EF, Corner Rounder, Nestabilities-Labels 16, Fancy Tags & Lacy Circles, Crystal Ice Stickles, White Organdy Ribbon, Foam Squares, Copics.

Copics Used:
Skin-E000, E00, R20, B04
Hair-Y15, Y19, YR23
Dress-R20, R21, R22, R24, YR30
Tree-Yg61, YG67, G82
Ornaments-B00, BG01
Background-Y00, YG30, W1, W3

Tip: To find your Ciao Copics easier, use a hole punch and punch circle's from adhesive backed paper (like you use for white labels), write the letter and number on it and attach to the end of your Ciao marker cap. You can still see the colour of the cap, but now you know exactly what letter/number it is at a glance as well.

For a chance at a great prize, all you need to do is link your Anything Christmas creation over at Top Tip Tuesday, and for an extra chance be sure to leave a Tip on your post, and add Tip after your name when linking.

I hope you have a safe and Merry Christmas!

Inspired Stamps Snowmen Card

Hello and welcome here! Christmas is almost here! I'm so excited, especially for our kids, I can't wait until they open their presents, lol. This week the Inspired Stamps DT is sharing Christmas Cards, so be sure to check out what great projects they came up with this week, their links are in my sidebar.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I used the 1" Snowmen stamp set this week! They are just too cute, and the sentiment is awesome as well. I stamped them with CTMH Chocolate ink, and coloured them in with Copics, I didn't want them to overpower the sentiment, so I stayed with brown tones. I scored lines to make a box for each snowman.

Inside:

I used CTMH Gold Shimmer Brad as an accent with the lace and ribbon.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-1" Snowmen, 1.5" Circle-Christmas, PP-My Mind's Eye-Lost and Found Christmas & Lost and Found Two, CTMH CS-Colonial White & Black, CTMH Ink-Chocolate & Black, Distress Ink-Vintage Photo, Brown Satin Ribbon, Dollarama Lace Ribbon, CTMH Shimmer Designer Brad, Foam Squares, Martha Stewart Punch All Over-Caning Pattern, Nestabilities-Lacy Squares, Copics-E30, E31, E55, YR00.

Check out the great sale on right now!

Hope you're enjoying this Christmas Season!

Top Tip Tuesday Gifts

Hello and welcome here! This week the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge is Gifts...this can be something you've made for a gift, or the image you use has a gift in it, and Moriah has shared a Tutorial on making Paper Cones, they are so easy and such a great idea.

Challenge - Gifts
Tutorial - Paper Cones

Notebook Size: 6" x 9"

I covered a few notebooks that can be used to give as gifts. This is my favourite one...I added a couple more I made at the bottom of this post. I used Our Daily Bread Design stamp Path of Life. I stamped the image with black ink and coloured it with chalks, which gives it a nice, soft look.

This Week's Sponsor's:

Simon Says Stamp - $20 gift voucher

Robyn's Fetish - 4 stamps of your choice

and for the Top Tipper
Di's Digi Downloads - 5 digi stamps of your choice

I cut my patterned paper at least 1/2" bigger than the cover. That's so that I can wrap it around the edges and then I add another piece of matching patterned paper, 1/4" smaller than the cover, to hide those edges on the inside cover. You can see what I mean in the photo below.

Recipe: CTMH PP-Sonoma, CTMH CS-Petal, Pansy Purple & Colonial White, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Frayed Burlap, Nestabilities-Labels 17, Martha Stewart All Over the Page Caning Pattern Punch, Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop Border Punch, Organdy Ribbons, Recollections Pearl Brad, Foam Squares, Dew Drops, Chalk.

Here are a couple more I made as well.

Inspired Stamps Snowflake Card

Hello and welcome here! This week the Inspired Stamps DT is sharing their Christmas projects with you for inspiration! It's hard to believe Christmas is ALMOST here:) This card actually came together quite quickly, I had lots of ideas how to decorate it (Flower Soft, Glitter, Rhinestones etc.), but ended up going with a clean and simple look.

Card Size: 5" x 5"

I started with a 5" x 5" piece of white CS and embossed the snowflake in the cente...it's difficult to see it in the photo above, I tried lowering the brightness in the photo below so that you could see it better. I also cut out and embossed the snowflake that goes on top.

Then I used Martha Stewart's corner and border punches to make the frame, and finished off the look by scoring lines near the edge with my Scor-It. When I attached it to the blue CS, I lifted the edges a bit to give it some dimension...you may have to click on the photo for a closer look.

I stamped the Inspired Stamps sentiment, which fit perfectly inside the circle of the snowflake, and attached it to the card with foam squares. And voila, it's done! I added a few blue pearls too.

Photo trying to show the embossed snowflake.

I finished off the inside of my card with a snowman, which I coloured with pencil crayons to give it a softer look, and a sentiment.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-1.5" Circle-Christmas, Let It Snow & Blessed Little Christmas, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Navy Textured CS, CTMH Ink-Moonstruck & Black, Nestabilities-Snowflake Pendant, Martha Stewart-French Scroll Corner & Border Punch, Scor-It, Pearls, Foam Squares, Pencil Crayons.

Top Tip Tuesday Snowflakes

Hello and welcome here! This week at Top Tip Tuesday the Challenge is Let It Snow. (Your project is how you interpret 'Let It Snow')! And Bettina shares a tutorial on 3D Snowflakes.

Challenge - Let It Snow
Tutorial - 3D Paper Snowflakes

Here's how I interpret 'Let It Snow'.

I totally lifted my Snowflake Ornament from Becca Feeken and you can find her Tutorial HERE. I didn't use a ribbon spool like she did, I just used 2 circles from CS with the ribbon in between, I have a photo below to show that.

The Sponsor's for this week:

The Crafty Pad Designs - 2 Digi Images

and

Limited Runs - 3 images of your choice

Here are some more photos on the Snowflake Ornament I made. I used a CTMH Glitter Brad for the snowflake center.

Here you can see my ornament is flatter than Becca's ornament made with a ribbon spool.

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Nestabilities-Fleur De Lis and Circles, Burgundy Satin Ribbon, Pearls, CTMH Glitter Brad.

Head on over to Top Tip Tuesday and see how the rest of the DT was inspired with 'Let It Snow'. And be sure to add your link there as well for a chance at some great prizes!!
Enjoy,
Deneen
