Inspired Stamps Scripture Card

Hello and welcome here!  I hope you're having a great week, we are here. This week at Inspired Stamps we're sharing Scripture cards with a character.  Along with scripture stamps, Antoinette designs some really cute characters, be sure to pop over and check out what she has...she even has some military characters.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I love how this card turned out.  I borrowed a border die from my friend Candace (hi Candace!!),distressed it and added it around the edges of my card. To finish it off I added half of the scripture stamp, called Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2, to the outside of the card.  I coloured His Little Ones: Girl Praying with Copics, and added a bow to her hair...isn't she cute.

Inside:
I added the other half of the scripture to the inside of my card, and used one of the flowers from the Flowers stamp set to mimic the lacy border on the outside.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2, His Little Ones: Girl Praying & Flowers, PP-My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks "Home" Dotted, CS-Burgundy & Cream, CTMH Ink-Cocoa & Black, Memento Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Aged Mahogany & Antique Linen, Papertrey Ink-Filigree Border Die, Spellbinders-Labels 22 & Frame One Die D-Lites, EF-Craft Concepts Budding Vine, Copics, Pearls, Foams Squares, White Gel Pen, Offray Pink Satin Ribbon 1/8".

I stamped the image on cream CS since my card had a vintage-y feel to it.  I used a white gel pen to whiten her eyes.
Copics Used:
Skin - E00, E01, YR01
Dress - R56, R59
Eyes - White gel pen
Hair - E33, E39, E19

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I totally CASE'd (Copied and Stamped Exactly...or in my case, almost exactly) this card from THIS ONE I found on Pinterest, I tried to find the original card out in blog land but I didn't have any luck.  I loved the embossed star...I inked the folder before adding my light blue cardstock, and then embossed.  For the Mosiac Tile pieces, I inked them after I embossed them.  I stamped and fussy cut the star and arrow...and I outlined the arrow with a black felt pen.

 Inside:

Top Tip Tuesday Luscious Layers

Hello and welcome here!  The challenge at Top Tip Tuesday this week is right up my alley, luscious layers.  I love layers, it adds that little 'extra' to a card. The DT are sharing their Tips this week too, so be sure to head on over and check them out.

Challenge - Luscious Layers
DT Tips

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I love how this card turned out, and I managed to get 8 layers on this card...1. the white base, 2. the green patterned paper, 3. the dark green mat, 4. the ribbon, 5. the white square mat, 6. the light green frame, 7. the flourish, 8. the flower. At first I wasn't sure about the square mat and oval frame, but after I slept on it...not literally, lol...I saw it with fresh eyes and really liked the combination.  If you click on the image, you'll see that I embossed the square mat...for instructions on how I did this just scroll down:)

Inspired Stamps Love Cards in Sets

Hello and welcome here!  If you're like me, you make more than one card at a time, often using the same image or sentiment but changing up the paper etc.  Antoinette, creator of  Inspired Stamps, came up with the great idea of sharing Card Sets using her stamps.  This time around the DT is sharing Love Cards in sets.

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"
My light box wasn't quite big enough to hold them all, but here they all are together.  This would be a great card to make to suit the colours of a wedding.  I used Lovely Lace and stamped the doily using Versamark, and then I embossed different colours for each card.  To give it a 3D look I outlined it with a Copic C1.  The sentiment is included with the Lovely Lace set and I inked the heart first with a different colour, and then inked the rest of the sentiment with black, this way the heart matches the colour of the paper!

Inside:
For the inside, I matched the ink to the cardstock colour, and because I wanted Congratulations to be bigger  I used the Label Maker Alphabet.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Lovely Lace & Label Maker Alphabet, Kraft CS, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Buttercup, Baby Pink & Pansy Purple, CTMH Ink-Black, Buttercup, Baby Pink & Pansy Purple, CTMH Embossing Powder-White Daisy, Baby Pink, Buttercup & Pansy Purple, Spellbinders-Scalloped Circles Lg & Sm., Standard Circles Sm. & Marvelous Squares, Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Corner Punch, Copic C1, Pearls, Foam Squares, Celebrate It 7/8" White Satin Ribbon, Celebrate It 5/8" White Satin Edge Ribbon.

The Cuttlebug Spot Circles Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  Since last week, we've had above 0C temperatures, rain and ice, no school, a blizzard, and now really cold weather...a high of -22C, with a -35C windchill.  How's your week going, lol?  I love this month's The Cuttlebug Spot challenges.  Did you have fun with triangles last week?  This week, it's all about Circles, and don't forget to use your Cuttlebug.  Link your creation over at TCS and you might be a winner of an awesome prize.

Challenge - Circles

Card Size: 5.25" round
I haven't made a circular card in quite a while, so it was a great challenge for me.  I used Cheery Lynn Designs Sophia's Heart die for my base.  I traced around the die and cut out both my base, and the Kraft CS.  I then cut out the design using my Cuttlebug and CTMH White Daisy CS.  I then used some different Spellbinder dies to finish off the design on the outside.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but behind the center medallion, I embossed the Kraft CS with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots EF.

Here's a look at all the layers...I love layers!

Inside:
Recipe:  CS-Kraft & Light Pink, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Baby Pink, CTMH SS-Gracious Greetings & Treasure Life, Spellbinders-Standard Circles, Floral Accents & Decorative Labels One, Cheery Lynn Designs-Sophia's Heart, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Pearls, Glitter Brad, Foam Squares.

Inspired Stamps Scripture

Hello and welcome here!! I'm so excited to share with you that I am part of the Inspired Stamps Design Team again!! Today is my first post for the team and we are sharing creations made with $3.99 Scripture stamps. One of the reasons that Antoinette started the company is due to the lack of Scripture stamps available out there.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used the stamp set called Philippians 1:3, and it's only $3.99! There are a number of verses available for that awesome price, so be sure to pop by a check it out.

 Inside:
For the inside of the card I kept it clean and simple, I used the sentiment 'You are Loved' from the More Perfect Sentiments stamp set, and punch a border from white cardstock.

Recipe:  SS-Inspired Stamps Philippians 1:3 & More Perfect Sentiments, PP-My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody "Beautiful" White Wash, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill Mono Aspen CS, CTMH Ink-Black & Creme Brulee, EF-Craft Concept Budding Vine, Spellbinders-Labels 28, Labels 23 & Fancy Framed Tags 1, Martha Stewart Vintage Doily Border Punch, Foam Squares, Pearls, Celebrate It 7/8" White Satin Ribbon.

The Cuttlebug Spot Triangles Challenge

This is my second post for today, so if you're looking for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, please scroll down.

Hello and welcome here, it's time for The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge!! This week it's all about Triangles...on a card, or a triangular banner, or even a triangular shaped card. You don't want to miss out on some awesome prizes.  And don't forget to use your Cuttlebug!

Challenge - Triangles

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I love it when a card comes together better than you image it!  I knew I wanted to use aluminum duct tape, but I wasn't quite sure how to incorporate it.  I decided to use it in the banner, but then there was the question of how to use the Cuttlebug with this card.  I was going through my embossing folders and saw the Cuttlebug's Herringbone folder...I knew it was perfect one when I took the embossed triangle out!

I also felt I needed a strip of something between the image and the banner, so I dug through my folders again and found an unlikely one that would work...there's a strip of dots and lines on the Sizzix's Snowflake Flourish folder, so I tried it and really liked the results!

And did I mention another plus?? It's a great masculine card too, we all know how difficult manly cards are to make.

Here's the metallic look of the aluminum duct tape...which you can find at your local hardware store.  It's basically aluminum foil, but it has adhesive already on the back.  I also like to attach the duct tape to a piece of cardstock before I emboss it...it keeps its shape better, and is easier to handle.

Inside:
Recipe:  PP-Teresa Collins On The Edge Guitar, CS-Black & White, Flourishes SS-Tag Lines, CTMH SS-You Rock, CTMH Ink-Black & Grey Flannel, EF-Cuttlebug Herringbone & Sizzix Snowflake Flourish, Corner Rounder, Aluminum Duct Tape, Foam Squares, Rhinestones.

Cuttlebug Items Used:
Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder
Sizzix Snowflake Flourish embossing folder

Top Tip Tuesday Fur or Feathers Challenge

Happy belated New Year's!! Hope you had a great holiday, we did at our house:)  Top Tip Tuesday is back in action once again...not that challenges really stop, but things are back to normal.  This week the Challenge is Fur or Feathers.

Challenge - Fur or Feathers

Card Size: 5" x 5"
Ta-da!  I made a square card, lol. The new year has barely begun and I'm already stepping out of my box. Okay, okay...the mat I used looked better with the square base rather than my normal 4.25" x 5.5"...but it sounded like a good idea, lol.  The image I used is called Spring Is Here by Zlatoena's Design...I just love these bunnies, be sure to pop by Zlatoena's shop and check them out.  I coloured the image with Copics, and added clear tiny rhinestones to the flower center's.
