Inspired Stamps Easter Card Set

Hello and welcome here!  This week at Inspired Stamps the DT is sharing Easter Card Sets.  I love using bright, new paper for my cards...it reminds me that Spring is soon around the corner.

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"
I didn't have any specific Easter scripture stamps, but I was able to use Inspired Stamps Names of God, and Elegant Dotty Alphabet to make my cards.

Banners are really popular right now, so I had to make some too:)  I inked my stamp up and because the stamp is clear I was able to center the area around King of Kings on the paper.  I then cut out the cross shape and inked the edges.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Names of God, PP-Graphic 45 Secret Garden Coll'n Beautiful Blooms, Graphic 45 Secret Garden 6x6 Solids & Patterns and My Mind's Eye Notable "Love This" Devoted Paper, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Light Green Bazzill Textured CS, Bazzill Prismatics CS-Light Purple & Dark Purple, Vintage Photo Distress Inks, Cheery Lynn Designs-Spohie's Heart Mini Doily, Spellbinder's Standard Circles, Foam Squares, Pearls, Celebrate It 3/8" Organza Ribbon, Wild Orchid Purple/Lilac Tonn 10mm Roses.

I had really like how the first card turned out with the cross, so I decided to make another one!  I love the yellow and purple colour combination for Easter.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Names of God, PP-Graphic 45 Secret Garden Coll'n Beautiful Blooms & Graphic 45 Secret Garden 6x6 Solids & Patterns, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill Prismatics CS-Dark Purple, Vintage Photo Distress Inks, Cheery Lynn Designs-Spohie's Heart Mini Doily, Spellbinder's Decorative Labels 8, Sizzix EF-Snow & Trees Set, Foam Squares, Pearls, Celebrate It 3/8" Organza Ribbon, Wild Orchid Purple/Lilac Tonn 10mm Roses.

For the third card in my Easter set I went with the Elegant Dotty Alphabet and More Perfect Sentiments.

The Cuttlebug Spot and Chocolate

Hello and welcome here!  Did my title get your attention, lol?  Chocolate is one of those words that no matter how sleepy/bored/uninterested you are, when you see it, it makes you sit up a little and your attention focuses on what's about to be said. Am I right, or am I right, lol?

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot, the Challenge is Life Is Like A Box of Chocolates.  Any project that involves chocolate...and of course your Cuttlebug...will work!!  I went with a Card Box, the little drawer is a perfect size to hold a few chocolates.

Challenge - Life Is Like A Box of Chocolates
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at TCS
Don't forget to use your Cuttlebug!
Box Size:  3" x 3" x 1.25"
It's been a few years since I've made some of these Card Boxes, so I decided it was time to make it again.  You can find the instructions HERE.

Isn't the cutest little box you've ever seen?  I really enjoyed decorating it up.  Purple is one of my favourite colours.  The inside decorations need to be flat so that the card part of the box will close flat.

Recipe:  PP-Bella Blvd. Sprinkles & Lace Plum, Verve Stamps-Scroll, CTMH SS-Pair-A-Phrase, Flourishes SS-Tag Lines, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill Prismatics-dark purple, CTMH Ink-Black & Gypsy, Spellbinders-Marvelous Squares, Medallion 5 & Decorative Labels One, Verve Stamps Die-Scroll, Marianne Designs-Flourish LR0116, Couture Creations EF-Diamond Trellis, Pearls, Foam Squares, Recollections Pearl Brad.

Mad 4 Markers is at the Movies!

Surprise!! I was accepted to another Design Team called Mad 4 Markers, and they're located in Australia.  If you love Copics, you'll want to head on over and check out their challenge blog, it's full of Copic inspiration, and a monthly challenge you'll want to join in on.  So on to my first post for M4M!

Hello and welcome here!!  I'm so pleased to be sharing my first M4M creation with you.  This month we have been showcasing creations inspired by the movies, and what better childhood movie than The Wizard of Oz.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I used Saturated Canary's digital stamp called Pigtails. It's the perfect stamp to use as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.  I was stumped at how to decorate the card once I had my image coloured, and decided to go with black and white...just like how the beginning of the movie starts out in black and white.

Here's Dorothy's red glitter shoes.  I used white Craft glue, and added red glitter, pressing it carefully into the glue.

I added the yellow brick road using 3 different Copic yellows and randomly coloured bricks...I also decided to add Oz in the background, and I used the chisel tip for the first time, lol.

Copics Used:
Skin - E0000, E00, YR000, R20, R00
Hair - E11, E15, E17, E18, E19
Eyes - B04
Dress - B02, B04, B06, C1
Socks - C1
Shoes - R24, R29, R59, 0
Basket - E11, E15, E17, E18, R08
Toto - E71, E74, E77, N7
Bricks - Y08, Y13, Y15
Grass - YG25, YG67
Sky - BG0000
Oz - BG10, BG11
Shadow on bricks - W1
Outline -C1

Recipe:  Saturated Canary Digital Stamp-Pigtails, PP-BoBunny Isabella Savvy, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill CS-Blue & Black, Spellbinders-Labels 27, Labels 4, Labels 4 Small & Frame One Die D-Lites, Memory Box-Honeysuckle Vine, Pearls, Red Glitter, Foam Squares, Copics.

Inspired Stamps Scripture Bookmark

Hello and welcome here.  We've had a very interesting week so far.  Monday there was no school because of a holiday, Tuesday there was no school because there was a snow storm on Monday and the road conditions were unsafe, which leaves 2 days of school because Friday is a PD day! That doesn't happen very often - a 2 day work week for me:)

But you didn't drop by to hear about the fun week I'm having, you just want to see what I created for Inspired Stamps this week.  The DT is sharing Scripture Cards, but rebel me didn't do a card:)  Actually, I accidently ignored the 'card' part...but it's all okay, Antoinette forgave me, lol.  So, here's the Bookmark I made.

I used Inspired Stamps Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2, and Spellbinders Decorative Labels 28  for the main part of the bookmark. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to distress the edges.

Here's the back of the Scripture part.

The small part I decorated the same on the front and back.  This is the piece that will hang out of your book.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2, Kraft CS, Cream CS, CTMH Black Ink, Distress Ink-Vintage Photo, Spellbinders-Decorative Labels 28, Medallion One Die D-Lites & Medallion Five Die D-Lites, Marianne Designs Flourish LR0116, Recollections Floral Embellishments, Liquid Pearls White Opal, Celebrate It 5/8" Cream Grosgrain Ribbon, Celebrate It 7/8" cream Organza Ribbon, Arctic Ice Stickles.

Okay, I almost scrapped this card, and made another one, all because the photo is so off.  No matter what I tried, the yellow buttons appear quite harsh in the photo.  In real life, the buttons are a soft buttery yellow.  In the end, I decided to keep this card one to share with you.

Hello, and welcome here.  Another 2 weeks have blown by and it's time again for another Top Tip Tuesday Challenge.  This week it's TAG, you're it!  Have a tag on your creation, or make a tag.

Challenge - TAG, you're it!
DT Tips

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I added a tag to my card.  This was inspired by another card I saw that used a doily and tag on a card, I loved the look so I recreated my card around the two items.  Next time I would stamp something subtle on the tag, but otherwise, I love how this card turned out.  I used Shape EZ's Tipped Scalloped Flower to decorate the front.

If you've arrived from Jennifer's Blog, you're in the right place!!  If you've arrived here first, you'll want to head on back to The Cuttlebug Spot to find out all the details on how you can WIN some fabulous PRIZES.

Hello and welcome here.  It's a Valentine's Blog Hop at The Cuttlebug Spot, how fun is that!?!  Here is my Valentine's creation for you to enjoy.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
This happens to be another Pinterest inspired card:)  The original one was made with paint chips and butterflies.  I changed it up Deneen-style.  I love the different embossed strips, and I used the same paper for the hearts but just switched the colours around so that the darkest colour started at the top. I didn't have a punch for the hearts so I fussy cut them.  The swirls I cut down from a bigger swirl, and hid some of the ends behind my hearts.

I added CTMH Liquid Glass (aka Glossy Accents) to the hearts.  I added the rhinestones first before I covered them with Liquid Glass.

 Inside:
Recipe:  PP-Crate Paper Random Collection Pattern, Bazzill Prismatics CS-4 pink colours, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH SS-A Little Everything & Heartthrob, CTMH Ink-Black & Baby Pink, EF-Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & Textile, Craft Concepts Budding Vine & Sizzix Raspberry Frame, Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork, Corner Rounder, Rhinestones, CTMH Liquid Glass, Foam Squares.

Cuttlebug Items Used:
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Swiss Dots
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Textile
Craft Concepts Embossing Folder- Budding Vine
Sizzix Embossing Folder- Raspberry Frame
Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork Die

Inspired Stamps Scripture Card

Hello and welcome here!  Okay, please tell me where the week has gone to, I'm sure it was just Monday. Well, it must be Thursday because it's time for you to be inspired with some creations made from Inspired Stamps.  This week the DT can share anything with scripture, and here's mine:

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used scripture from the set Ask, Seek, Knock.  I saw the idea for this card...somewhere. {sigh}I save it thinking "I won't forget where I found THIS card,"  and then it's a few months until I get around to designing my card.  I kept it fairly clean and simple, and finished off the card by adding Liquid Pearls around the window.  Next time I think I'll use the scalloped oval for the window shape.

Inside:
For the inside of my card I used the Flowers set, and the sentiment from Feel Better.  I added a touch of colour to the flower using a blending pen from CTMH and ink.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps-Ask, Seek, Knock, Flowers & Feel Better, CTMH CS-Pansy Purple, White Daisy & Sweet Leaf, Swiss Dot light purple CS, CTMH Ink-Black & Petal, Martha Stewart Caning Pattern Punch All Over the Page, Spellbinders-Big Scalloped Circles & Classic Ovals, Memory Box-Riviera Corner, Nellie Snellen Corner die, Liquid Pearls White Opal, CTMH Blending Pen, Foam Squares.

The Cuttlebug Spot Is In Love

This is my second post for today, so if you're looking for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, please scroll down.

As I mentioned this morning, I can't believe we are into February already, many of us think of Valentine's Day and love...which just happens to be the Challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot, make a creation relating to love.

Challenge - Love Is In The Air
Link your creation over at TCS and you might be a winner of an awesome prize!
Don't forget to use your Cuttlebug!

Card Size: 5.25" round
I really liked how the first card with my Cheery Lynn Designs Sophia's Heart turned out, so I made another one...and I learned something, lol!!, it is best to create your card so that the 2 scallops sit flat on the table.  The way my card is in the photo above, I had to use sticky tack to keep it upright...it's too pointy and kept falling over, lol.  Well, lesson learned, and hopefully I've saved you making the same mistake.

Inside:
Recipe:  PP-BoBunny Ambrosia Dot, Bazzill Prismatics CS-light pink, CTMH CS-Vineyard Berry & White Daisy, CTMH SS-All My Love & Card Chatter Sympathy, CTMH Ink-Vineyard Berry & Black, Cheery Lynn Designs-Sophia's Heart, Cottage Kutz-Tea Time Doily, Marianne Designs Flourish LR0116, Spellbinders-Standard Circles & Medallion One Die-Lites, Wild Orchid Flowers-Rosebuds 1/8" Pastel Tone, Roses 5/8" Pink Open & Roses 3/4" Pink Tone Set B, Foam Squares, Stickles Crystal Ice.

Top Tip Tuesday Sweetheart Card

Hello and welcome here!  Time is just flying by, it's almost Valentine's Day...didn't we just have Christmas??  This week at Top Tip Tuesday the challenge is called Let Me Call You Sweetheart...include a heart, or have a romantic theme (Valentine's creation).

Challenge - Let Me Call You Sweetheart
(include a heart, or have a romantic theme)

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I just love this image from Stamp Fairy, it's called Molly Love 1.  I coloured her with Copics, and ended up finding a new (to me) colour combo (RV11, RV32 & R56).  I used some lacy dies to embellish the card with, and added glitter for the balloon, and a strip under the image...which is looking purplish in the photo, but it matches nicely in real life.

Just a Little Chit Chat

I just wanted to let you know of a couple things, all good:)

The first is I (think) I've managed to fix my photos...did they seem a little blurry to you, or maybe you thought your eyesight was going?  Or maybe you didn't even noticed:), that's okay, but it was starting to bug me, lol.  I started a little bit ago to edit all my photos in Photoshop, and while they looked fine there, by the time I uploaded them to my blog they seemed to be blurry...for a while I thought maybe it was just me.  Finally I made a few adjustments, and when I had the photos side-by-side, I could definitely tell they had been blurry.  So, I went back and fixed many of them and re-uploaded them to my blog. YAY!!

The second thing I wanted to share is that I've added a Pin It button to my photos so that you can very easily pin them to your boards over at Pinterest!! All you need to do now is click on the little Pin It button in the bottom right-hand corner, and a separate box will open.  Here's a couple of photo's  for you to try it on...if you like:)

Enjoy,
Deneen
