Top Tip Tuesday Tri-Fold Type Card

Happy New Year!! Welcome here for another year of (hopefully) inspiring creations:)

It's time for a Top Tip Tuesday Challenge! It's another Anything Goes, gotta love those, and it's Tipper Week, so be sure to head over to TTT to see some great Tips by the DT. (Or you can check out their blogs, their links are in my sidebar.)

A new feature at TTT is that the Challenges will run for 2 weeks! That gives you plenty of time to join in.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

My card is a Tri-Fold type of card. When I was designing it, I thought the doily edge looked like a flap, so I decided to design the card around it being a flap. You can see what I mean in the photos below. I want to thank Stamp Fairy for the image I used, she's super sweet and is called Molly Throughout the Year December.

Sponsor's:

Simon Says Stamp - $20 Gift Voucher for their store

Stamp Fairy - $10 Gift Certificate to use in their store

Crimson Cloud - 3 packs of Die Cuts

Now for more photos of my Trifold card. I cut out 2 doily edges and glued the one inside the card first. Because it is perfectly symmetrical, I was able to line up the edge, and holes, and glue the other doily on the outside.

Here's the card fully open.
Recipe: Stamp Fairy-DigiStamp Molly Throughout The Year December, CTMH SS-Pair-a-Phrase, For Every Occasion & Card Commentary, Flourishes Stamps-Tag Lines, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Light & Dark Pink Textured CS, PP-My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Inks-Aged Mahogany & Antique Linen, Pearls, Rhinestone, Foam Squares, Michaels Celebrate It Ribbon, Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Corner Punch, Nestabilities-Fancy Labels & Labels 14, Papertrey Ink-Edgers #2 Collection,Wilton 4" Doily, Copics (see below).

Here's a close-up of Molly. Because the card had lots of pink already I pulled the green from the patterned paper to colour her dress.

Copics Used:
Skin-E00, E000, YR00, R02
Hair-E13, E08, E19, 0
Dress-G40, G21, G24
Socks-YR30, Y32
Headband-YR30, YR31, Y32

My Top Tip for you:
Don't forget the little details, they can take your card from nice to stunning. Pearls and rhinestones are great for this, and even adding foam squares behind your image adds a little pizzaz! I should have taken a picture of the card without the pearls to show you a before and after.

If you want a chance to win some great prizes, be sure to link your creation at Top Tip Tuesday!
Enjoy,
Deneen
