Heartfelt Creations September Alumni Blog Hop

Hello and welcome here!  Okay, where did September go?  I almost forgot about the Heartfelt Creations Alumni blog hop, the end of the month snuck up on me.  If you've come from Alissa's Blog you're on the right track.  If not, you can find the Blog List at the bottom of my post.

Leave a  comment on each blog for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate.
Contest closes Monday October 2nd 11:59 pm EST. The winner will be announced Oct. 4th on the HC Blog and Facebook page. Good luck and have fun!

 Box Size:  2.75" x 6.5"  (~1.25" high)
I found this box tutorial by Tamra Kilgore-Merill on Authentique Paper's Facebook page HERE. I have recently joined Country Craft Creations Facebook page and let me tell you, it is FULL of great tutorials.

The box could be a fancy gift card holder, or like I am using it here, a little mini album/treasure box.

Keep scrolling to find the hidden treasures of this box!
I used the Classic Rose stamp and dies to create the flowers.

Here's what the closed box looks like from the side.

I used magnets to keep the flap closed (you could also wrap ribbon around to tie it closed if you don't want to use magnets.)

My dad passed away just over a year ago and I wanted a spot to keep the last photos I had taken of  him with the kids.

I used the ornamental die from the Window Box Elements Die set.

The box has a 'wrapper' around it.

The inside box is revealed.  If you're using it as a card, instead of photos you could have quotes.

I used 2 different paper collections, Flowering Dogwood and Classic Rose.

I used magnets to hold the box closed, but again, there is enough room to use ribbon if you wanted to tie it closed.  I use one of the dies from Arianna Lace to look like a clasp holding it closed.

Here's the box!  It holds quite a bit.  I still want to add some tags to write our memories of him down, but I ran out of time.
