Inspired Stamps Candle

Hello and welcome here! You get 2-for-1 today, lol. I was going to post 1 candle today, and 1 next week, but when I looked at my schedule, it doesn't meet the criteria for next week. So lucky you I'll be sharing both today:)

This week at Inspired Stamps, it's Designer's Choice. I've done cards up until now and decided I needed to shake things up with a candle. I have a Candle Stamping Tutorial HERE. It's super easy. The candle is 4" high, and the workable surface was 3" high.

I thought this would be a nice girly candle. I stamped my image on tissue paper, and coloured with Copics...be sure to stamp and colour on scrap paper because the ink does bleed through. It's very difficult to blend on tissue paper, but I was able to a little bit.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch and butterfly punch to add detail to the candle. I used different coloured tissue paper.

The second candle I made using Inspired Stamps I wanted to highlight a verse.

To make the frame, I first cut the oval shape out of a piece of purple tissue paper. I then used Labels 18 to cut out the shape and adhered it to the candle. I cut an oval out of white tissue paper, stamped the verse and inked the edges, and fit it into the oval purple shape and adhered it.

So my 1 daughter is home from Camp, and the other one just left. I survived...and so did she. We'll see how the next one fairs, lol. As I was snapping pictures of the kids I told Spencer to "Stand up tall," and here's what he did:

Too funny, that's a keeper for sure. It'll be perfect to bring out when he gets married, lol.

Take care,

Deneen
