Inspired Stamps Christmas Card

Hello and welcome here!  It's another Thursday and that means it's time for some Inspired Stamps inspiration.  This week the DT are sharing Christmas cards, it's hard to believe that Christmas will be here before we know it.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
This was a fairly quick Christmas card to make and I love the soft look of the tree and sky.  I stamped the background using the Names of Jesus stamp, I then stamped the tree from Ask, Seek, Knock stamp set and coloured it with chalk for a touch of colour. I finished it off with 'Merry Christmas' from Blessed Little Christmas stamp set.

Inside:
For the inside I used the tree again, and the verse found with the Blessed Little Christmas stamp set.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps SS-Names of Jesus, Ask, Seek, Knock, & Blessed Little Christmas, Bazzill burgundy CS, cream CS, CTMH Ink-Black, Grey Wool & New England Ivy, Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch, Pebbles Inc. Chalk, Rhinestones.

Heartfelt Creations New Release Sweet Juliet Collection

Hello and welcome here! It's the second Wednesday of the month and that means a New Release at Heartfelt Creations.  This New Release is called Sweet Juliet and is full of inspiration. It has card fronts (perfect for making quick cards), sentiments, 6x6 designs of the 12x12 sheets, and everything is double sided.  There are new dies too, they are unique and a lot of fun to work with.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I loved the flowers from the Recovery Wishes stamp set and pictured them with soft pastels.  I used the subtle patterned paper from the new Antiquity paper collection and stamped my image with black ink.  I then added colour using chalk, it softens up the look.

I added a simple border towards the bottom, I used the short edge of Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8.  I stamped a circular sentiment from the Moments With You stamp set.

Inside:
Recipe:  HC PP-Antiquity Collection, HC SS-Recovery Wishes & Moments With You, CTMH Ink-Black & Slate, Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, Pebbles Inc. Chalk-Earth Tones & Pastels, Celebrate It 3/8" Tan Grosgrain Ribbon, Viva Decor Silver Pearl Pen, Corner Rounder (Inside: HC SS-Blessings To Me, CTMH Ink Slate).

Card Size:  4.5" x 6.25"
For this card I started with one of the Card Fronts that come with the Antiquity paper collection and added a few layers.  The Antiquity paper comes with journaling pieces that you cut out and add to your scrapbook page, you can also use them for stamping a sentiment on etc., I chose to cut it down and added a hole to make it into a tag.  I matted one of the sentiments included with the paper collection and popped it onto the card.  I used the new Sweet Juliet die to make the flower which I added to the bottom corner do the card.

Inside:

Recipe:  HC PP-Antiquity Collection, HC Die-Sweet Juliet Die & Layered Scalloped Posy, Bazzill Black CS, Foam Squares, Gold Seam Binding, Recollections Pearl Brad, Tonic Studio Tag Corner Punch.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations using this New Release, their links are in my sidebar or head on over to the HC Blog.

Cuttlebug Mania Anything Manly Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  It's time for another August Anything Goes Challenge over at Cuttlebug Mania.  This week the Challenge is Anything Manly.

Challenge - Anything Manly
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at Cuttlebug Mania.
Don't forget to let us know how you used your Cuttlebug!

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I guess technically wolves could be feminine too, but the overall feel of the card is masculine. I used Sizzix woodgrain embossing folder for texture, and I added some corner details.  The nice thing about masculine cards is they tend to be fairly clean and simple.  I used a combination of chalk and Copics to colour the wolf.

 Inside:
Recipe:  Kraft CS, Bazzill CS-brown & cream, CTMH SS-From the Forest, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Brushed Corduroy, Antique Copper Brads, Sizzix Woodgrain EF, Spellbinders-Marvelous Squares, Pebbles Inc. Earth Tone Chalk, Natural Hemp, Copics-W0, W1, W3, Y26, N7 (Card inside:  CTMH Ink-Black & Garden Green, CTMH SS-Beautiful Things, Verve SS-Wishing You).

Cuttlebug Items Used:
Sizzix Woodgrain Embossing Folder
Spellbinders Marvelous Squares Die

I hope you've been joining us for the August Anything Goes challenges over at Cuttlebug Mania, if not you can pop on by and check out what the DT has been doing.

This time for my card set (the Inspired Stamps DT shares a card sets once a month!) I kept things the same, but changed up the colours.  I love using the Inspired Stamps Spring Sketches stamp set!  There are so many options in the stamp set, and this grape vine and grapes are on there too!

I stamped the image using coloured ink and then highlighted it with a matching chalk colour.

Inside:
I used the verse that comes with Spring Sketches, and the 'Happy Birthday' that comes with the Inspired Stamps Tags stamp set.

Inspired Stamps Mother's Day Card

Hello and welcome here!  It's hard to believe that May is just around the corner, and here in Canada we celebrate Mother's Day the second Sunday in May!  The Inspired Stamps DT are sharing cards to inspired your Mother's Day creations.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I pulled out my chalks to give this card a soft, watercoloured look.  I used Inspired Stamps Spring Sketches and stamped the image with Versamark ink, then rubbed chalk over it...the ink intensifies the colour where it's stamped.

2 Masculine Birthday Cards

Good chilly morning:) Thought it was about time I posted again. My daughter had a birthday this past weekend, {sniff} and she turned {sniff} TEEEEENNNNNN {wahhhhhhhhhh}. Double digits, where does the time go?

.
On to what ya came for....CARDS!!! Today I have some guy cards to share. I totally lifted this from the lovely Lorrinda Holman over on Isn't That Sweet?! Her blog is packed full of ideas, and she's currently on the Design Team over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges. You can see her card HERE. I wasn't kidding when I said I lifted it, lol:)
.
Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
I masked an area first, then sponged the top with Creme Brulee and Bamboo, toward the bottom I sponged Grey Flannel. The trees are stamped with Grey Flannel, Olive, and then New England Ivy. I removed the mask and stamped the big tree with New England Ivy. I then clear embossed the tree to make it stand out a little more. (see photo below). I tied hemp in the corners.
Recipe: CTMH CS-New England Ivy, Black & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Bamboo, Creme Brulee, Grey Flannel, Olive, New England Ivy & Black, CTMH SS-Beautiful Things & Happy Birthday, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Hemp.
.
The second masculine card is stamped with a new image available in the new CTMH Catalogue. I stamped it with Black ink and coloured it with chalk.
.
Recipe: CTMH PP-Miracle, CTMH CS-Colonial White & Twilight, CTMH Ink-Black, Chocolate & Twilight, CTMH SS-Summer Breeze & For Every Occasion, Nestabilities-Labels 15 & Labels 16, Twill Ribbon, Foam Squares, Chalk, Antique Brads.

Hope you have a great day!

JustRite Friendship Set Cards

Welcome here! Fall weather has certainly come to where I live, how about you? Still enjoying some warm summery days, or do you have to scrap your windshield in the morning:)?
.
Today I'm sharing some samples I made for Sharon from The Scrapbook Cottage. And I actually designed the cards with NO pattern paper. Imagine that, lol. I wanted the stamps to stand out, so I decided not to use any pattern paper to compete with them. I did use embossing folders and other techniques to add texture. Let's take a look.
.
Card 1
I used Impressabilities with Nestabilities for the background. I love how the border stamp frames the sentiment.

I stamped, and cut out the tree. Then attached it with Foam Squares and added Stickles.

Card 2
Ya know I had to use a new Martha Stewart Punch somewhere:) This is the Ribbon Loop corner and border punch. I wanted to show that you don't have to stick with circles...and I didn't use the border stamp.
I coloured in the cake with Copics, and added Smooch to the icing and cake stand.

Card 3 - 4.25" x 5.5"
I stamped the image on Spring Iris CS, and the border on White Daisy CS. I then cut them out with Nestabilities, and attached the image inside the border.
I used Smooch to colour in the image, and add the detail at the bottom.

Card 4 - 4.25" x 5.5"
For this card I stamped the image and cut it out using Nestabilities. I then stamped the border sentiment, but when I cut it out I only used the top half. For the background, I embossed the lines with my Scor-It and pierced some holes in the corners. The image is coloured with Copics.
Card 5 - 4.25" x 5.5"
For this card I cut a scalloped window in the front. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch, coloured the flowers with Copics, and added Stickles to the bow.
I stamped the image on a separate piece of CS, because it was easier to line up with the window.
Last, but not least, Card 6 - 4.25" x 5.5"
The image I stamped on White Daisy CS, and attached it with Foam Squares to the Border piece of CS. I used 2 Cuttlebug EF for the background, and another new Martha Stewart Punch:)
This time I coloured the image with chalk, and added Stickles to the bow.
Hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Easter Cards

Yippee!! Spring is finally here. I thought I'd start off with some Easter cards, because before you know it, Easter will be here. This card was inspired by one I saw by Betsy Veldman.
.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
.
I really love the Springy colours of the card (the card is more vibrant in real life).

.
Inside:
Recipe: Heavenly Blue, White Daisy, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup, Baby Pink & White Daisy Textured, CTMH Ink-Bamboo, Baby Pink, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup, Black, Grey Flannel & Heavenly Blue, CTMH SS-Eastertime, Ticket Corner Punch, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, 3D Foam Squares, Cuttlebug Argyle EF, Ribbon.
.
Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
.
This card was inspired by one made by Kim Hughes. Her card was a 3x3 of the eggs in windows, I expanded on that idea to make a full card. And I dusted off my chalks for the sentiment. It was alot of fun working with pastel colours again, after a long winter.
.

Recipe: CTMH PP-Paper Garden, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Buttercup, Sweet Leaf, New Engalnd Ivy & Pansy Purple, CTMH Ink-Blush, Spring Iris, Sweet Leaf, Chocolate, Pansy Purple & Petal, CTMH SS Easter Eggs & Eastertime, Chalk, Versamark, Purple Grosgrain Ribbon, Martha Stewart Punches-Grass & Eyelet Lace, Rhinestones, 3D Foam Squares.
.

Hope you were inspired too!
Enjoy,

Deneen
