Contest closes Monday July 31st midnight EST.
The winner will be announced Aug. 2nd on the HC Blog and Facebook page.
Good luck and have fun!

Card Size:  6" x 6"
I made some cards a while ago (Card 1, Card 2) using the Paper Ruffle technique found HERE and I wanted to give it a go with Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection paper!  It looks just like material and it uses up scraps!  As a card maker I don't always make 6x6 cards so I tend to have strips of 12x12 paper left, this is a perfect way to use up those strips!!

I wanted to dress up the ruffles with little flowers so I used the Classic Rose stamp and die to make them.  I have a little tutorial below on how I altered them.  I used the Arianna Lace die to make my border, I have a photo below showing how I did that.

Look at those ruffles!  They look just like material.

I stamped the flowers with Versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder.  I then add some light pink ink for a touch of soft colour.  The flourishes I cut apart from the leaves and tucked in behind the flowers.

Bought flowers (on the right) have that nice little green foliage behind them.  I stamped and cut a small Classic Rose in green to imitate this (on the left).

On the left is the stamped and die cut Classic Rose.
On the right you can see I how I cut each petal to make leaves, basically just make the end pointed like a leaf.

I then inked and shaped them, and attached them behind my flowers!!

I used the Eyelet Oval die to cut out a design on the small inset oval.

On the back of the purple patterned paper I attached each die cut.  I found the center along each side first and attached one there...a little higher than the rest for visual interest. I then added the 2 corners. Finally I filled in the spaces with the other die cuts.  I chose not to do the bottom because it would be hidden by the ruffles.

Recipe:  HCDP1-270 Classic Rose Paper Collection, HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Cling Stamp, HCD1-7110 Classic Rose Die, HCD1-747 Arianna Lace Die, HDD1-776 Eyelet Oval Die, HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, small scrap from Delicate Asters Paper Collection, Spellbinders Floral Oval Die, Versamark, White Embossing Powder, CTMH Ink-Baby Pink & New England Ivy, Bazzill CS-purple, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Pearls, Rhinestones, Stickles-Crystal Ice & Lime Green, Foam Squares.

Now it's time to hop on over to Sarah's Blog!  Thanks for stopping by.

Cuttlebug Mania Easter Bunny Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  It's time for another Cuttlebug Mania challenge and since Easter is around the corner, Easter it is...with a bit of a twist, you need to have an Easter bunny on your project.  And don't forget to use your Cuttlebug!

Challenge -Easter Bunny
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at Cuttlebug Mania.
Challenge runs for 2 weeks.
Don't forget to let us know how you used your Cuttlebug

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
I used a journaling card from Echo Park's Celebrate Easter collection.  I wanted to have a scalloped frame for the image but I don't have one, so I made one by using an scalloped edge die.

Technique Tip:  I cut my paper so that it is long enough to go past the edges of the image by about 1/4".  I then glue all the edges onto the back of the image...the corners will have overlapping edges.  I then cut through both cardstock pieces at a 45 degree angle.  I then fix any bits of the scallop edges on the corners if needed.  By cutting through both layers at the same time your corners will join perfectly.  I may do a short tutorial on this at some point.

Just in case you couldn't read the smaller photo.  I used Taylored Expressions felt for the flowers!

Recipe:  PP-Echo Park Celebrate Easter 3x4 Journaling Cards & Hippity Hoppity, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes, My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Edges, Tattered Lace Florentine Bow, Joy Craft Flower Trio, Taylored Expressions Felt-Pink Sherbert & Lilac, Foam, Pearl.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I wanted to use my new stamp set and try adding drops to the flower petals.  The stamp set is Peony Bouquet from Altenew and the drop video I watch is by Jennifer Dove.  I coloured the peony with Copic Markers and the center I stamped and fussy cut and added with foam squares.

Inside:

I should have tried the drops on just a plain background first, but hey, I like to live on the edge, lol.  Using a coloured background (the flower petal) it made it a bit difficult shading the shadow for my first time trying it.

Copics Used:
Flower - R81, R83, R85, 0
Droplets - R83, R85, 0, BV23, BV20

Cuttlebug Mania Anything Goes Challenge & Short Tutorial

Hello and welcome here!  It's September, can you believe it!?!  The summer has flown by and it's back to work for me and to school for the kids.  I actually have 1 in high school this year.  I tell her to stop getting older but like any teen she doesn't listen to me, lol.

It's time to get back to my Design Team work minus 1, Top Tip Tuesday has closed but I'm still with Cuttlebug Mania and Inspired Stamps.  I'm trying to decide whether to keep it to the 2 or see if anyone has some openings.

On to our first challenge at Cuttlebug Mania, Anything Goes!  And I have 3 cards to share with you today as well as a short tutorial.

Challenge - Anything Goes

I saw a card on pinterest using watercoloring and a die and had to try it out!  You can see her video tutorial HERE.  I added a photo tutorial at the end of my post of how I did it.  You emboss your die onto watercolor paper (you can find instructions HERE in case you don't know how to do that), trace the lines with your marker and then trace the marker with a waterbrush, voilà, done!

Inside:

So then my brain was already thinking of the next die I wanted to try watercoloring, Memory Box's Honey Blossom Sprig.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
Oh my goodness, it turned out AWESOME, lol!!  I think I found my new favourite technique.  I stamped a sentiment and finished it off with a bit of ribbon and used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen for detail.

Inspired Stamps Spring Card

Hello and welcome here!  The Inspired Stamps DT are sharing Spring cards with you today!

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
Spring is the time for new flowers!  I used Flowers Value Pack for my card today.  To colour my flower and the background behind it I inked up my acrylic block with pink ink and then spritz it with water.  I then quickly stamped my white cardstock with the block.   I let it dry and then stamped my flower, and fussy cut it out.  I did the stem the same way, but using green ink.  The background I inked both colours onto the block and let the water mix the blue and green slightly.

Inside:
Inspired Stamps SS-Flower Value Pack, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Sweet Leaf, Sky, Topiary, Blush & Black, Spellbinders-Fancy Lattice, Labels 10 & Labels 17, Ice Stickles-Cherry Ice, Foam Squares.

I added Stickles to the flower petal edges and the center.
