Inspired Stamps My Style

Hello and welcome here!  Well, the kids are finished school now and that means me too:)  I get a summer break from work and just in time, my creative mojo is running low.  Time to recharge my creative batteries.

This week at Inspired Stamps the DT are sharing their style.  And because I'm still trying to play catch-up I'm sharing a card I had already made up a while ago...so it's not quite my usual style, but I just didn't have time to make one.  (I helped my father-in-law move from Toronto to Manitoba over the past weekend and even though I didn't have to miss work I didn't stop moving once I woke up Friday...I flew out from Winnipeg Friday after work and started driving back to Manitoba that evening, we arrived Sunday night and I was back at work early Monday morning.)

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used the Inspired Stamp set called Time.   It's a great set that comes with scripture, clock faces and hands, and even some gears. I went with a distressed look, and used thick clear embossing powder on the clock face which I then cracked.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Heartfelt Creations Purse with Template

Hello and welcome here!  Time for some more Heartfelt Creations inspiration, so be sure to check out their site, or I have the DT links in my sidebar you can click on.  Today HC is doing a cross promotion with Scor-Pal! So each of the projects today feature a Scor-Pal product(s).  I highly recommend using Scor-Tape to assemble the purse (and that's not just because we are doing a cross promotion, lol, but I found out the hard way that glue dots, glue stick etc., even Tombow adhesive doesn't hold it together.)

Purse Size:  approx. 6" x 2.25" x 6.75"(H)
This purse was so much fun to design.  For the Template and Instructions, please scroll down.  I originally found the template on the wholesaler biz, but it's no longer there, so I've added it below for you to enjoy.  It was created by Bridget Louw.

Purple is one of my favourite colours, so I used HC Delicate Asters Collection to create my purse. The buckles are just pieces of CS and I used my X-acto knife to cut slits close to the top and bottom, I then wove my straps through the buckle and adhered the whole buckle piece to the purse.

Front of purse detail, the pocket opens!

I stamped the Daisy Patch flower onto light purple CS and then used the matching Daisy Patch die to cut out 2 flowers to layer and embellish my pocket. A piece of velcro holds the pocket closed.

I added some details to the side of the purse as well. I trimmed the flourish on the Decorative Chateau Gate to add here and beside the pocket on the front.

For the back of the purse I kept it simple and just added the flourish from the Ornate Gateway die.

Recipe:  HC PP-Delicate Asters Collection, HC Dies-Ornate Gateway Die, Decorative Lace Border (used on the handle), Decorative Chateau Gate & Daisy Patch, HC SS-Daisy Patch Flowers, Paper Blossoms Molding Mat & Tool Kit, Bazzill Mono CS-Pansy & Ivy, Black CS, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Recollections Pearl Brad, Glitter Brads, Pearl Swirl, Paper Studio Gemstones, CTMH Ink-Gypsy, Foam Squares, X-Acto Knife, Velcro.

Purse & Pocket Template with Instructions

To PRINT the Purse Template to the size I used, I saved it and then opened it in Publisher...enlarging it until it reaches 11" (the full length of your page), print it twice, cut it out (cutting off the black lines) and adhere the 'middle' pieces of your half purse together to form a FULL purse. (you will turn the one piece before adhering)

This is now the Purse Template you will use to trace onto your CS, or patterned paper. I added the Buckle and Strap measurements right to the Template so that you have them right there each time you use it.

Do not score and fold your Template, these are the guides to show you where you will score and fold the actual purse you are going to use.

You will cut 4 Buckles (1" x 1.25") and 2 Straps (0.75" x 12").  Don't forget to use your X-acto knife to add a slit at the top and bottom of your Buckle to slide your Strap through.

For the Pocket, I used the same steps as the Purse for printing and cutting out...the only difference is that it needs to measure approx. 6.25" long (from the top of the rounded edge to the bottom).

Have fun making purses!!
For more purse ideas you can see 2 of my older posts HERE and HERE.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Enjoy,

Top Tip Tuesday Office Supplies

Hello and welcome here!  It's time for another Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, and it's Office Supplies...anything office supplies related will work.

Challenge - Office Supplies

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used staples and an arrow paperclip for my 'supplies'.  It's a little more plain than I was intending, but I was having difficulty with my sentiment, lol.  I was on my third try and decided to just leave it....I had to tell myself to just walk away.  I inked up Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Kickin' Rubber folder to give the Kraft CS some depth.

Inspired Stamps Patriotic Card

Hello, and welcome here!  July is going to be upon us before we know it, and Antoinette has designed some awesome Patriotic stamps for Inspired Stamps!  Although it's an American company, there are still tons of ways to make it fit whatever country you may be from.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

If you haven't figured it out yet I'm Canadian, so I went with a Canadian flag inspired card.  I used the red and white stripes like on the Canadian flag, and I used red ink with the Inspired Stamps sentiment from More Perfect Sentiments, finishing it off with a small maple leaf in the center.

Inside:
For the inside I used His Little Ones: Soldier With Helmet, and the sentiment is from 1" Circle Sentiments, and I added another maple leaf to finish it off.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps SS-More Perfect Sentiments, His Little Ones: Soldier With Helmet & 1" Circle Sentiments, PP-Basic Grey Infuse Stew, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Memento Ink-Lady Bug, Spellbinders-Labels 22, Foam Squares, Marvy Uchida Maple Leaf Punch, Rhinestones.

We are pleased to introduce the Gateway To The Seasons Collection.  The Ornate Gate Die is adorned with a flourishing design and a large, exotic accent piece.  Lace, gazebos, birdhouses, gardens, backyards, a fall scene, a winter home and sentiment stamps will add joy to your cards and a smile to your face.  These scenes and sentiments will complete your stamp collection.  The Daphne paper pack is loaded with lacy Victorian patterns in soft pink, cream and greens accented with red, green and brown.  Classic Heartfelt Creations images combined with stripes, diamonds and vintage type, tags and journaling blocks create a collection you will treasure forever!  Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by June 18th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued a $150.00.

I made 2 cards to showcase this New Release so be sure to scroll all the way down to view both creations.

Card Size:  4.5" x 6"
I used the beautiful Ornate Gateway Die, and I used a the center portion of the flourish accent piece for my corners.  The soft pink patterned paper is from the Daphne 12x12 Collection.  I didn't want to take away from the gate so I kept my card fairly simple.

The gate pieces open to reveal the All Seasons Gazebo stamp that I coloured with Copic Markers.

 Copics Used:
Gazebo - N7, C0, C1
Roof - N5, N7
Trees - G82, G85, E23
Big Leaf Plant on left - G20, G21
Low Bushes with blue flower - YG13, B93
Hostas - YG03, YG17
Grass - G20, G21
Pink Flowers - RV11, R56
Purple Flowers - RV63, YG11
Striped Plants on right - Y32, G82, G85
Sky - BG0000

Inside:
I love decorating the inside of my cards, I used the Spring Season stamp and stamped it with Tattered Rose Distress Ink, I then stamped the bucket of flowers with Black Memento ink onto a separate piece of white CS, I coloured it with Copics Markers, fussy cut it and attached it to the inside of my card.  I also used the All Seasons Sentiments to add the word 'Blessings', also stamped on a separate piece of white CS and fussy cut.  Copics Used:  W1, W3, W5, R01, G20, G21, YG67, E33.

Recipe:  HC Die-Ornate Gateway, HC SS-All Seasons Gazebo Precut Set, HC PP-Daphne Collection, Memento Black Ink, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Bazzill CS-Black, Wild Orchid Crafts Rose Petal Vintage Seam Binding, Foam Squares, Copic Markers, White Pearls, Blush Pearls.
Inside Card:  HC SS-Spring Season Precut Set & All Seasons Sentiments Precut Set, Distress Ink-Tattered Rose, Memento Black Ink, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Copic Markers.

Card Size:  4.75" x 4.75"
I totally lifted this awesome stained glass window idea from the lovely Dina over at Mama Dini's Stamperia.  I didn't have plans to do stained glass until I saw the awesome HC Ornate Gateway Die.

I used HC Clear CS and Copic Markers to achieve the stained glass look. I attached the clear CS to the back of the gates, and then coloured on the back of the clear CS with Copics...I sort of dabbed the colour on, rather than coloured it on, to achieve the textured glass look.

 Copics Used:
RV13, RV66, R35, BG57, B37

Inside:
The All Seasons Gazebo stamp comes with a beautiful lace stamp and I used that for the inside of my card.

Recipe:  HC Die-Ornate Gateway, HC SS-All Seasons Gazebo Precut Set, HC Clear CS, Spellbinders Fancy Lattice, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Lagoon, Rhinestones, Foam Squares, Celebrate It 3/8" White Grosgrain Ribbon, Copic Markers.

Top Tip Tuesday Masculine Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  We've had an eventful week since I last posted in our household, we had a bit of a medical emergency, but thankfully things are getting back to normal.  On the downside, I got behind on my DT creations, but I managed to eek both of today's posts by the skin of my teeth.  The TTT DT was so supportive and as I write this, they don't know that I actually got my card done, lol.  Of course the told me to not worry about it...and I didn't.  But I did have some down time today and I quickly threw together this card since I felt the creative juices flowing.  I just want to give a big shout out to the TTT ladies and say thank-you for your thoughts and prayers!

So, without further ado, the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge for the next fortnight is anything Masculine....anything for a guy will fit the bill.

Challenge - Masculine

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #179 for my card, it helped my card come together lickity-split.  A big thank-you to Birdie Brown for the image Robot with a Balloon.  I coloured the image with Copic Markers.  I printed 2 robots, and cut out the balloon and added foam squares behind it to give it dimension.
