Heartfelt Creations Christmas Card

Hello and welcome here!  Wasn't it just Wednesday?? And now here it is again.  Time flies by so fast these days.  The leaves are changing here in Manitoba, I love the changing of the seasons, especially Fall and Winter.  It's time for some more Heartfelt Creations inspiration.  I made a fairly simple card this week, I've been having some back issues and sitting to scrap is not too comfortable these days.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used patterned paper from the Frosty Blanket paper collection. I added some ribbon to make it look like a Christmas gift and finished it off with a poinsettia using the Christmas Poinsettia stamp set and Sun Kissed Fleur die. Super simple and super quick, perfect for making a bunch of them at a time.

The sentiment tag is from the sentiments found in the Christmas Card paper collection, I cut it out and matted it with the same green paper that I matted the stripes.

Inside:
For the inside I kept it fairly simple as well, I used the sentiment from Christmas Sentiment Circles.

Recipe:  HC PP-Frosty Blanket & Christmas Card Paper Collection, HC SS-Christmas Poinsettia, HC Die-Sun Kissed Fleur, CTMH Ink-New England Ivy & Bamboo, Pearls, Burgundy 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, (Inside:  HC SS-Christmas Sentiment Circles, CTMH New England Ivy Ink).

Sorry it was short and sweet this week, hopefully my back will allow me to play around in my craft room longer.  For more Heartfelt Creations inspiration head on over to HC Blog or click on the DT links in my sidebar!

Heartfelt Creations Christmas Card

Hello and welcome here!  Time for some more Heartfelt Creations inspiration and this week I chose to make a pink Christmas card.

 Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used the newly released tree from the Banner and Trees die and the sentiment is from Christmas Sentiment Circles.   I used cream CS and distress the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I embossed the tree onto the cream CS and used the die as a mask to distress around the tree, I then die-cut a tree and added it using foam squares.

It's difficult to see but I finished off the tree with pink and cream pearls.  I stamped the sentiment using Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Inside:
The sentiment inside is found in the Christmas Card paper collection.

Recipe:  HC PP-Vintage Floret Collection, HC Die-Banner and Trees, HC SS-Christmas Sentiment Circles, Bazzill cream CS, Distress Inks-Vintage Photo & Antique Linen, Celebrate It 7/8" Pink Satin Ribbon, Foam Squares, Pearls, (Inside: HC PP-Christmas Card Collection).

Top Tip Tuesday Get In Shape Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  I hope you had a great weekend.  I spent it laying in bed reading and watching movies.  I've never had back problems before but I guess one effect of growing older is that your parts start wearing out, lol.  My doctor ordered laying flat on the floor and once the worst of the pain was gone I gingerly climbed into bed to rest.  But you're here to see the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge which happens to be Get In Shape, shaped cards are in order...basically anything other than a rectangle.

Challenge - Get In Shape
Shaped cards...no rectangles.

Card Size:  5.75" x 9"
With the help of a friend (hi Candace), I decided to make a surfboard shaped card!!  I added an easel using BoBunny water paper, it's to hold the surfboard upright and the surfboard opens up for your sentiment.  I used Bugaboo Stamps Beach Baby 2 digi image. I used Washi Tape to add stripes to the surfboard.

Heartfelt Creations New Release Season of Joy

Hello and welcome here!  Did you remember that Cuttlebug Mania was changing to every 2 weeks?  That's why there was no post yesterday, just in case you popped by and wondered what was going on.

Today is the September New Release for Heartfelt Creations!! I'm so excited to share the dies, paper, and stamps with you.  The cards came together so quickly that I made 2 different sets, perfect for when you want to get your Christmas cards done in a timely manner!

Card Sizes:  4.25" x 5.5"

I couldn't decided which colours to work with...the blue, or the red/green, but because they were super quick to make I could make both sets to show you.  And I also had a hard time deciding where to place the sentiment, so I changed it up for all 4 cards.

For the set of blue cards I used patterned paper found in the Frosty Blanket Paper Collection. I also used one of the trees dies (or flip it upside down and you have a beautiful lace piece for a triangle banner.) from the new Banner and Trees Die set.  The circular sentiment is one from the Christmas Sentiment Circles PreCut set.  I heat embossed it using silver embossing powder and then die cut it using Spellbinders Lacey Circles.

Inside:
I used another sentiment from the Christmas Sentiment Circles for the inside.

Recipe:  HC PP-Frosty Blanket Paper Collection, HC Die-Banner and Trees, HC SS-Christmas Sentiment Circles, CTMH White Daisy CS, Tonic Studio Ticket Corner Punch, Spellbinders Lacey Circles, 3/8" or 5/8" Burgundy Grograin Ribbon, Pearls, Foam Squares, VersaMark Ink, Silver Embossing Powder, (Inside:  CTMH Outdoor Denim Ink).

For the red/green set I used all the same elements that I used on the blue cards I just changed up the colours, the red and green patterned papers can be found in the same paper pack.  I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment instead of silver.

Inside:
Recipe:  HC PP-Frosty Blanket Paper Collection, HC Die-Banner and Trees, HC SS-Christmas Sentiment Circles, CTMH White Daisy CS, Tonic Studio Ticket Corner Punch, Spellbinders Lacey Circles, 3/8" or 5/8" Burgundy Grograin Ribbon, Pearls, Foam Squares, VersaMark Ink, Gold Embossing Powder, (Inside:  CTMH New England Ivy Ink).

Card Size:  5" x 5"
I used the Posy Patch paper collection for the background paper and the covered bridge is from the Natural Beauty stamp set.  I added some fall-ish coloured daisies to the side of the image, I used the Daisy Patch Flowers stamp set and matching Daisy Patch die.  I used white embossing powder on yellow CS and then used the Tool Kit and mat to shape the petals.

For the leaves I used the Bold Leaf stamp set and matching Classic Leaf die.  I love how Heartfelt Creations creates dies to match their stamps, it sure saves you time by not having to fussy cut it all out!

I was going for a nature silhouette scene here, lol.  Hopefully it doesn't look to spooky.  I ink a large acrylic block with blue, light yellow, dark yellow and red inks, I then spritzed the ink lightly with water and immediately stamped my CS, the result looks like a watercoloured background.  I let it dry and then added my die-cut scene.

Top Tip Tuesday Paper Piecing Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  Today I am back to work, I have no idea where the summer went. I thought I would have lots of time to get some crafting done and get ahead but somehow that didn't quite work out, lol.  Today at Top Tip Tuesday the Challenge is Paper Piecing, and a huge thank-you to Heather Ellis for supplying the DT with images.  I used one that I already had in my collection.

 Challenge - Paper Piecing

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I used Pure Innocence Blooming Good Day by Heather Ellis.  I stamped the image 4 times once on the blue background, once on white CS (for the arms, legs, face, and flower stem), once on the pink PP (for the dress), and once on the cream PP (for the wateringcan and flower).  I fussy cut each piece out and coloured or shaded where needed with Copics.  I also paper pieced the background sky, grass, and cloud with the Memory Box frame.

Don't forget the challenge runs for 2 weeks and closes at 1pm.

Heather Ellis - 3 images of winner's choice

I added layers by attaching some pieces with foam squares.  Her head, watering can, her arms at her hands, and the flower are all attached using foam squares for added dimension...this was my Tip this week.  One bonus of paper piecing is that you don't need to colour in a sky, you can use a piece of CS or PP to make a sky.

Inside:
I love the idea of using the same stamp you used on the outside of the card on the inside as well!

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, YR02, R20
Hair - Y11, Y21, YR24
Heart - R12, R14
Dress - W1, W3
Stem - G82
Outline - W3

Recipe:  Pure Innocence SS-Blooming Good Day, Verve SS-Wishing You, PP-Imaginisce Baby Powder Bubble Bath, Imaginisce For Peep's Sake Spring Fling, BoBunny Powder Blue Dot & My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Saffron "Dream" Filigree Paper, CTMH White Daisy CS, CTMH Ink-Black & Sweet Leaf, Memento Black Ink, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Memory Box Small Felicity Frame Die, Papertrey Ink-Clouds Die, Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch, Foam Squares, Copics.
