The Last of the Christmas Card Inspiration

Hello and welcome here! Finally, the last of the Christmas cards! I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5"

Lantern, greenery and gold glitter paper make for a great Christmas card.

It's difficult to see, but the area behind the lantern is distressed with yellow, next time I will leave a space for the glow of the candle.

Candles and glitter paper, with embossed white cardstock make for a quick Christmas card.

It's difficult to see, but the poinsettia is from a real soft red glitter paper.  The poinsettia is from Lisa Horton's 3D embossing folder with the die that cuts out the one poinsettia!

I copied these 2 cards from the samples I saw.  I distressed the sky for both and layered the elements.

Having fun outside makes for a great Christmas card!

The silhouette of the boy skiing really stands out on the white cardstock!

Deer and trees make a great masculine or Christmas card.

Snowmen and Reindeer Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!

All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

This was a fun snowman die to play with!  I used a grey Copic to add shadows to his scarf and hat. His nose and heart are from red glitter paper.

I love using blue on Christmas cards!  I accidently gave him a coat, but decided to leave it.

This little reindeer is cut from dark brown cardstock, it looks black in the photo.  I distressed the sky in the middle rectangle, and added snow.

Blue Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

This is another old stamp I have, first I mask off the moon and distress around it with blue ink, I then stamp the trees with black ink, and finish off with lots of Stickles...which the camera doesn't photograph well.

Lots of layers here, but well worth it.  The background behind the snowflakes is blue glitter paper.

White and glitter don't photograph well, lol.

Snowflakes, Cardinals and Stars

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

This card is totally scrap lifted from one I saw on Pinterest.  It uses the snowflake dies from My Favorite Things.

This one is also scrap lifted directly from one I saw online.  I used a branch and greenery die I had in my stash.  The cardinal is from Honey Bee Stamps Winter Birds die.

This one is not scrap lifted, lol.  It's difficult to photograph glitter paper, but the mat and background paper are a teal glitter paper.

Merry Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

I was having fun with this Merry Christmas layered die, so I embossed the background with snowflakes, and added a die cut frame from silver foil paper for a quick card.

I kept this card simple with ribbon, Merry Christmas, and a piece of patterned paper.

Sleds and Jars for Christmas

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

This is one of my favourite layouts for the Memory Box Sled die, it comes together very quickly and looks stunning.

I should have distressed the area behind the sled a bit further out, but it still works, I'll be making a version of this one again and can correct it then.

This jar die is perfect for cutting out patterned paper, I added a bit of white to make it look like light is reflecting off of glass.

Here is a blue version using the jar die.  The middle jar is raised up using foam.

Wintery Scene Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

I have an old Stampendous rubber stamp called Snowy Postcard, it basically makes the card all by itself.  I fussy cut out the oval and added foam squares behind it, I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo ink and was done.

I added a bit of colour to the scene, and used Kraft cardstock for the background, I finished it with a couple of small poinsettia's.

Here's a clean version (as opposed to distressed) I coloured the buildings red and matted things with red glitter paper.

Red and White Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

I made some traditional Christmas cards as well.  The red background is a very fine glitter, it almost looks like suede.

I used red foil paper to cut the sentiment out, I layered the sentiment using plain red paper, I cut out 3 plain and 1 foil.  The wreath is made using the very old Martha Steward pine branch punch.  I had glitter ribbon in my stash for the bow.

Glitter is fun to use at Christmas. The panel is embossed with Lisa Horton's 3D poinsettia embossing folder and the edges were die cut from the fine red glitter paper I found at Winner's/

Both the mat and candles are cut from the red glitter paper, it has just the right amount of shine to it!

Gnomes and Christmas

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

I love this gnome die, it's from Simon Says Stamp.  I die cut his hat from silver glitter paper and added some beard hair using a grey Copic marker.

This time I die cut his hat from dark grey glitter paper, it went well with the paper scrap I had from 10+ years ago, lol.  I knew that scrap would come in handy sometime.  I added some dimension to the background with a snowflake circle die.

I made a bit more of a traditional coloured gnome using red glitter paper, filled in the holes on his coat with red Stickles.  It felt odd to use black on a Christmas card, but it made the colours pop!

Christmas Cards with Lamp Posts

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

I saw a card on Pinterest that had a banner hanging from the lamp post, I tried to recreate it using what I had in my stash.  I added a little wreath to the post and was able to make the banner reflect the patterned paper I used.

I used gold foil paper for the lamp and it doesn't like to photographed well, lol.  I saw a card on Pinterest that used lamps and had a small fence with a garland on it.  I recreated it using things in my stash.

I saw a card on Pinterest that used a door and had a wreath hanging on it.  I added a lamp post to mine.  It's difficult to see, but I embossed the background with a brick embossing folder.  I added 3D snow and glitter to the top of the door and along the bottom.

It was a lot of fun making Christmas cards using a lamp post.  I die cut it out and added a bit of greenery to finish it off.

More Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here!  I've been working on Christmas cards this month and thought I'd share over the next week or so some of the ones I've been making.  In the past I've made some dollar card ones, these ones I'm sharing are a little more intricate and so I'll be selling at my regular price.

The glitter paper I found at Winner's last year, it was being sold as wrapping paper, and because it was such a great price I am able to use it on most my cards.  All cards are 4.25" x 5.5".

Blue is always a great Christmas colour when it comes to cards, it makes you think of cold and winter, lol.  I used a snow embossing folder for the background and then inked the bottom edge with blue to give it some dimension.  I added some Stickles to the trees for sparkle.

I thought this was such a cute die and cut out the trees and house in coloured cardstock and pieced them together to make the little scene in the jar.

I die cut the car in blue and added a bit of colour to the bottom.  The tree I coloured with a grey Copic marker to add some dimension.

I wanted to make a yellow car as well.  This time a cut out the fenders and added foam behind them to give it dimension.

Hello and welcome here.  I've had some time on my hands and tried out the most recent Back to Basics by Kendra over on the AI Stamps Facebook Group, you can find the video HERE.

She showed making a garland, but I made it my own by masking off the top so that I could add a sentiment!

I love the pink version, I also made a blue version.

Card Size: 4.25 x 5.5

I am entering the pink Birthday card to Bonnie's Birthday Challenge found HERE.

Enjoy!
