Top Tip Tuesday is Recycling

Hello and welcome here!  Many of us have sent our little ones (and bigger ones) back to school this past week, and that means more crafting time for some of us:)  This week the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge is Recycling....and it doesn't just have to be papercrafts, Carol is sharing a Tutorial on making a cushion from a sweater!

Challenge - Recycle It
Tutorial - Making a Cushion from a Sweater by Carol
DT Tips

I like to recycle containers and I'm always keeping my eyes open for any possibilities.  For my project, I recycle a container that held large binder clips in it. A big thank-you to Bugaboo Stamps for letting me use the digital image Ava - School Sign It 2.  Perfect for any teacher gift!!

TIP - It's quick and easy to use your scraps and embellishments to cover containers. You can hide any imperfections behind your image...I hid the seam of the container, and where I joined the paper/ribbon/border punch behind the image.

Here are some more photos of my container.
The container was clear and by using double sided patterned paper, the inside is just a pretty as the outside.

I added some cardstock dividers so that pens and pencils don't slide down and get lost in the container.

What a wonderful idea and I love your final outcome. I think it's the little touches that make this special: using the double sided paper so it looks good on the inside too, adding the internal dividers to stop things tangling inside, beautiful coordinating ribbon and the wonderful colour work on your images.
Thank you so much for sharing your fab recycling project with us at ABAC's first challenge and I do hope you'll play with us again soon.
