Hello and welcome here!  It's hard to believe we are over halfway through May, it will soon be time for Graduations, and the end of school until Sept.  This week at Cuttlebug Mania the Challenge is School's Out for Summer...so graduation cards, teacher thank-you's etc. are what we are looking for this time around.

Inspired Stamps Nature Card

Hello and welcome here! This week the Inspired Stamps DT are sharing projects that include nature and a verse. I try to think up something different so that you aren't bored with me showing you the same thing over and over, and hopefully you're inspired to look at your stamps in a new way. Well I think I have a special treat for you today, I must say I even impressed myself, lol.

I started in my mind with sponged clouds for a sky, and patterned paper for grass. I wanted to do something different and as I was looking at the Label Maker Alphabet stamp set I envisioned a brick wall. Yep, I don't have a clue how my brain does it, it even surprises me sometimes too. The brick wall is made up of 4 of the different frames from the stamp set.

Card Size: 5" x 5"

I stamped the 'bricks' with black ink, and coloured them with Copics W1, W3, and E40. They are outlined with W5. I coloured each block making sure NOT to blend it very well. I then went over it lightly with the Colorless Blender, and that makes is look like stone. The grout in between is coloured with E42.

It's a must-have stamp set! There's a pine tree, a tree trunk with branch that can hold a little birdhouse, a bird, verses, and of course the door. It such a beautiful stamp set to work with, my card came together quite quickly.

I also wanted to show a whimsical side to the set and came up with a Christmas card too!

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Ask/Seek/Knock, Label Maker Alphabet, Winter Ruth, CTMH CS-White Daisy & Bamboo, Textured Cream CS, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Inks-Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint, Brushed Corduroy & Old Paper, Flower Soft-Polar White & Emerald, Antique Copper Brad, Velvet Ribbon, Foam Squares.
I stamped the door on cream CS and Bamboo CS. I cut the door frame out of the Bamboo, and the door from cream CS. I scored cream CS for the wall, and attached the door, the frame I attached with foam squares to give it some dimension. The tree I stamped and cut out and attached with foam squares too. For the wreath I cut a rough circle and covered it with Emerald Flower Soft. The ground and tree I covered with Polar White Flower Soft.

Link
I coloured His Little Ones: Christmas Girl with Copics and added Gold Flower Soft, and Polar White Flower Soft to the greenery and coat...the Gold Flower Soft has sparkles in it. I cut out a scalloped circle and embossed snowflake on it, attached it to the doily and added glitter brad-like thingies.

There were also some teal coloured flowers in the package from Antoinette, and I added a few of my own to fill out the look. The snowflake is silver glitter...the camera doesn't pick it up, and I layered ribbon to finish off the bottom.

Top Tip Tuesday Christmas Tag

Hello and welcome here. Today is another Top Tip Tuesday post, the challenge this week is Tags - Use a tag on your project or make a tag as your project. I went with making a tag as my project.

Challenge - Tags
Tipper Week - each DT member shares a tip

Tag size: 3" x 6.25"

I cut my tag out of Colonial White CS and stamped it randomly with CTMH Universal Backgrounds using Bamboo Ink. I then heat dried it because I wanted to emboss my image. I stamped the angel with Versamark and used Gold embossing powder. I used Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia, and embossed the edges with Gold embossing powder. I distress the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

The Sponsor's for this week:

Pink Cat Studio - 5 digis of your choice
and
For the Top Tipper:
Glitterbabe Greetings - 2 images of your choice

Here are some close-up photos of elements on my tag.

I used Gold Flower Soft for the center of the Poinsettia.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Vintage Christmas, CTMH SS-Universal Backgrounds, Inkadinkado-Christmas Silhouettes, CTMH CS-Colonial White, Vineyard Berry & Garden Green, CTMH Ink-Bamboo, Distress Ink-Brushed Corduroy, Versamark, Gold EP, Nestabilities-Layered Poinsettia, Burgundy Satin, Grosgrain & Velvet Riboon, Cream Lace, Foam Squares, Gold Flower Soft.

Tip: Add labels, and sponge daub the ink on a small square so that you know what the colours of Distress Ink really look like.

Be sure to stop by Top Tip Tuesday to check out what the rest of the DT made, and their TIPS. Don't forget to add your link there as well, and for an extra chance at a prize leave TIP after your name...just make sure your Tip can be found within your post.

Enjoy,

Inspired Stamps Sneak Peek Winter Ruth

Hello and welcome here! This week I'm sharing a Sneak Peek of a new Inspired Stamp set called Winter Ruth. Antoinette will be sharing all the new stamp sets on Friday, so be sure to head over to the Inspired Stamps Blog and get all the details!

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Isn't she sweet? The set comes with different items for her to hold, and sentiments! I used BoBunny's patterned paper called Snowfall to frame her. I used Stickles for the collar, and across the bottom of her coat. I used Polar White Flower Soft for her mittens. I don't have red Flower Soft, but it would have been perfect to use on her earmuffs.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-Winter Ruth, CTMH CS-White Daisy, Teal Textured CS, PP-BoBunny Snowfall, Nestabilities-Ribbon Banners & Create-A-Flake 3, Cuttlebug Vintage Die, Flower Soft-Polar White, Faom Squares, Stickles-Arctic Ice & Crystal Ice, Copics: Skin-E000, E00, YR01, R20, Coat/Earmuffs-R29, N7, Boots-N7, C5, C7, Hair-Y11, Y15, YR23, Present-BG10, R29, Tree-YG92, YG99.

Super Quick Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here. It's that time of year to start thinking about Christmas cards. I'm part of a Craft Show in November and lots of people liked my $1 Christmas cards from last year, so I thought I would make more this year....which means I need to make simple, cheap (not look cheap though), fast Christmas cards.

All Cards: 4.25" x 5.5"

The background is Cuttlebug's Snowflake EF, I added the sentiment in black and matted it with red CS, and cut the 'poinsettia' with Spellbinder's Anemone Flower Topper and finished it off with a pearl.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Hero Arts-Greatest Gift, CTMH-Let Us Adore Him & Snow Flurries.

I embossed Spellbinder's Snowflake on white CS matted with mauve CS, added the sentiment with mauve ink, and finished it off with some mauve pearls.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Our Daily Bread-Blessed Christmas, CTMH-All the Best & Glory to God.

For this card I inked up my acrylic block with blue ink, misted it with some water and 'stamped' it on white CS. I then stamped the trees in black, added white Flower Soft topped with Stickles, added a piece of blue velvet ribbon...I had a big sparkle brad but thought that it cost too much to use on a $1 card, so I cut some circles from silver sparkle paper...I added a sentiment in black.

Here you can see the Flower Soft and the sparkle of the Crystal Ice Stickles on top.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Penny Black-Snow Dust, Hero Arts-Greatest Gift, CTMH-Peace On Earth & Snow Days.

I loved how these turned out and I hope people will grab them up at the Craft Show. I have 3 more Super Quick Christmas Cards to share, so be sure to check back.

Challenges Entered:
Cute Card Thursday - #186 Tree-mendous! CARD #3
ABC Christmas Challenge - U is for Unused Stash (new stamp used on snowflake card & new velvet ribbon used on trees card) CARD #2 & CARD #3
Creative Belli Blog - #128 Flower Soft, Felt or Chunky Glitter CARD #3
Our Daily Bread - Holiday With A Twist CARD #2
Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - Halloween Colours & Die/Punch CARD #2

For Christmas Cards All Year Round muliples requirement:

(they didn't all fit in 1 photo)

Inspired Stamps Frame

Hello and welcome here!! This week at Inspired Stamps the DT is showcasing His Little Ones & a Verse. I thought it would be super sweet to make a frame.

Frame Size: 5" x 5.75"

I paper pieced the little girls jammies, and added white Flower Soft to her cuffs. The patterned paper I used for her jammies I also used for the flower. There are 4 layers to the frame which you can see in the photo below.

The light blue layer I used Martha Stewart punches around the edge, and Labels 4 Nestabilities in the middle. I added a dark blue and white oval mat on top. To make the frame I glued 2 pieces of white CS together, leaving the bottom 2" unglued so that I could bend it back (I scored a line before glueing) to hold the frame up.

The flower is 3 layers, I stamped it on white CS for the base, then added the paper pieced shaded with Copics next. I then stamped it once more on the patterned paper and cut off individual petals and added them...some of the petals I bent back, and the individual ones I added I bent up. The center of the flower is coloured on white CS and is also a separate layer.

Here's a close-up of the girl praying, I paper pieced her jammies and the rest is coloured with Copics.

Recipe: Inspired Stamps-His Little Ones: Girl Praying, Philippians 1:3 & Flowers, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Creme Brulee, Textured CS-Dark Blue & Light Blue, Core'dinations-Mantis Green CS, Little Yellow Bicycle-Purple Pansy Patterned Paper, Nestabilities-Labels 4, Ovals & Rectangles, Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Border & Corner Punch, Copics: Skin-YR0000, YR00, E00, R02, Hair-Y11, E23, E34, E27, Flower-V01, V09, V12, V15, White Gel Pen, Foam Squares, Pearls, Rhinestones, Marianne Designs Flourish LR0116, EK Success-Fountain of Fun Corner Punch.

2 More Flower Soft Cards

Just a quick post to share the last 2 Flower Soft cards I made when I was preparing for a class. We made the first one in class. And the other one I wanted to try out the Flower Soft wires, and I used Liquid Glass/Glossy Accents on the bottles. I didn't think to take a picture of the bottles with the light shining off them before I gave it away.

Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"

I coloured the bottles with Copics (and because I was just experimenting, I didn't keep track of which ones I used.) Because the one card was going to be used in class, I kept the colouring fairly basic since many ladies haven't used Copics before. The stamp is from Inkadinkado.

I stamped the image and cut around the bottles, and cut the 2 flower bouquets off so that I could add wire flowers instead. I attached it to the card with Foam Squares so that it has a 3D appearance, and looks almost like they are sitting on a mantle.

Enjoy,

Deneen

More Flower Soft Cards

Hello, and welcome here! I have a couple of cards I made while trying out Flower Soft to share with you today.

Card Size: 4.25" square

Yeah, I know, I'm a little behind on the Spring look, but I couldn't help myself when I saw the Sweet Pea Flower Soft. The photo doesn't really do the Flower Soft justice, it is very pretty IRL. I also figured since I have a new blog look, I should redo my Watermark as well:) The sky I sponged....you can find instructions HERE.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy & Vineyard Berry, CTMH Ink-Chocolate, Olive, Sky & Black, CTMH SS-Card Chatter-Sympathy, Inkadinkado-93174 Trees, Nestabilities-Lacey Squares & Squares, Flower Soft-Sweet Pea.

And here is a simple card we are doing in my Card Class at Scrapbook Cottage...showcasing that you can use Flower Soft like a frame. I think next time I would make it closer to the edge.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Buttercup, Sweet Leaf & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, CTMH SS-Say It In Style, Nestabilities-Ovals, Fancy Tags & Labels 18, Cuttlebug Cassie's Brocade EF, Foam Squares, Flower Soft-Heather, Corner Rounder.

Second day of Summer Holidays and the kids are already saying they're bored Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net....yikes, it's going to be a looooonnnnnnng summer, lol.

Flower Soft

Welcome here. I'm teaching a Flower Soft class at The Scrapbook Cottage and of course I had to play around with it first. If you can believe it, I had never used it before. I figured I didn't really need it....wellllll, let me tell you, now I HAVE to have it, lol!

Card Sizes: 4.25" x 5.5"
This is one card we will be making in the class.

Recipe: CTMH CS-Petal & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black, Olive & Creme Brulee, CTMH SS-Card Chatter-Sympathy, Cuttlebug Heritage EF, Dew Drops-Orchid, Nestabilities-Labels 14, Foam Squares, White Organdy Ribbon, Flower Soft-Heather.

I wanted to play around and see what Flower Soft looked like on a coloured background. (We're not making this one in class). This was a bit of an oopsie card, but I couldn't just leave it partly finished, so I fixed it up the best I could...crooked sentiment, the edges of Labels 14 I sponged in a different colour and then changed my mind and then thought I should have left it the first time around:)

Enjoy,

Deneen
