Craft Show Goodies

Hello and welcome here!  I thought I would share a few things I made for the Craft Show here in town.

Moving left to right:  Journals-$7, Mini Notebooks-$3 or 2/$5, behind them are the Giant Clothespins which can be used as photo holders or recipe card holders etc. $3 or 2/$5, Mini Photo Holders (from large binder clips) $1, my handmade cards-$3 or 4/$10 (these are the cards that I post on my blog)

On a small table to the right of the big table:  my girls helped make Magnets-$0.25, and Hemp Bracelets-$2...they got to keep any money made from selling these.  And finally my $1 Christmas cards, and Clearance cards-$1.

Here's a full cookie sheet full of magnets, we started with a total of 350 magnets (not all fit on the front)

This is what we started with on the 2nd day...and we sold all but 6, which we are now using on our fridge!

I don't have a closeup of the magnets, but we punched circles out of pattern paper...you can see Mickey Mouse, soccer balls, music notes were gone the first day....we then added a drop of CTMH Liquid Glass, also known as Glossy Accents etc., and centered the stone (clear vase filler stones, they're flat on one side and rounded on the other) on the paper.  We let them dry overnight and then added a drop of Liquid Glass to adhere the magnet to the back.  I found out that there are different strengths of magnets...I bought some at Walmart (which in the end ended up being too big anyways), and some from Michaels.  The ones from Michaels were smaller, but they also were quite a bit stronger than the larger ones from Walmart.

The reason I sell my Christmas cards for $1 is because many people like to buy multiples at this time of year, so I try to keep it affordable for them and for me.  I don't layer and add a whole lot of embellishments like I normally do, but I keep them Clean and Simple, and I think elegant at the same time.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I used Cuttlebug's Heritage embossing folder on green CS, and gold embossed the poinsettia (from Our Daily Bread called Blessed Christmas) onto cream CS, I finished it off with a bit of gold Stickles in the corners.
 Inside:

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I embossed the cream CS with Sizzix Raspberry Frame, I gold embossed the word 'Joy' (CTMH Baroque Alphabet) onto cream CS, and then matted 'Joy' and the card with red CS, I finished it off with a piece of knotted red grosgrain ribbon.
The gold embossing reflects nicely.

Keep checking back, I have lots more to share from my Craft Show.
Enjoy,

Top Tip Tuesday Gifts

Hello and welcome here! This week the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge is Gifts...this can be something you've made for a gift, or the image you use has a gift in it, and Moriah has shared a Tutorial on making Paper Cones, they are so easy and such a great idea.

Challenge - Gifts
Tutorial - Paper Cones

Notebook Size: 6" x 9"

I covered a few notebooks that can be used to give as gifts. This is my favourite one...I added a couple more I made at the bottom of this post. I used Our Daily Bread Design stamp Path of Life. I stamped the image with black ink and coloured it with chalks, which gives it a nice, soft look.

This Week's Sponsor's:

Simon Says Stamp - $20 gift voucher

Robyn's Fetish - 4 stamps of your choice

and for the Top Tipper
Di's Digi Downloads - 5 digi stamps of your choice

I cut my patterned paper at least 1/2" bigger than the cover. That's so that I can wrap it around the edges and then I add another piece of matching patterned paper, 1/4" smaller than the cover, to hide those edges on the inside cover. You can see what I mean in the photo below.

Recipe: CTMH PP-Sonoma, CTMH CS-Petal, Pansy Purple & Colonial White, CTMH Ink-Black, Distress Ink-Frayed Burlap, Nestabilities-Labels 17, Martha Stewart All Over the Page Caning Pattern Punch, Martha Stewart Pinking Scallop Border Punch, Organdy Ribbons, Recollections Pearl Brad, Foam Squares, Dew Drops, Chalk.

Here are a couple more I made as well.

Be sure to check out the rest of Top Tip Tuesday's DT Gift creations! And if you want a chance at winning some great prizes be sure to add your creation to Mr. Linky over a Top Tip Tuesday's Gift Challenge Post.

Super Quick Christmas Cards

Hello and welcome here. It's that time of year to start thinking about Christmas cards. I'm part of a Craft Show in November and lots of people liked my $1 Christmas cards from last year, so I thought I would make more this year....which means I need to make simple, cheap (not look cheap though), fast Christmas cards.

All Cards: 4.25" x 5.5"

The background is Cuttlebug's Snowflake EF, I added the sentiment in black and matted it with red CS, and cut the 'poinsettia' with Spellbinder's Anemone Flower Topper and finished it off with a pearl.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Hero Arts-Greatest Gift, CTMH-Let Us Adore Him & Snow Flurries.

I embossed Spellbinder's Snowflake on white CS matted with mauve CS, added the sentiment with mauve ink, and finished it off with some mauve pearls.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Our Daily Bread-Blessed Christmas, CTMH-All the Best & Glory to God.

For this card I inked up my acrylic block with blue ink, misted it with some water and 'stamped' it on white CS. I then stamped the trees in black, added white Flower Soft topped with Stickles, added a piece of blue velvet ribbon...I had a big sparkle brad but thought that it cost too much to use on a $1 card, so I cut some circles from silver sparkle paper...I added a sentiment in black.

Here you can see the Flower Soft and the sparkle of the Crystal Ice Stickles on top.

Inside:

Stamps Used: Penny Black-Snow Dust, Hero Arts-Greatest Gift, CTMH-Peace On Earth & Snow Days.

I loved how these turned out and I hope people will grab them up at the Craft Show. I have 3 more Super Quick Christmas Cards to share, so be sure to check back.

Kraft Card with Scripture Verse

Hello and welcome here! I was at a loss again for a pretty or descriptive title for my post. I had thought about using 'Heinz 57 Card' but I figured it might leave you scratching your head. I used alot of different companies all on one card, lol, but sometimes that's what it takes to get what I've visualized in my head to paper.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I was on a purple and Kraft CS colour combo kick, I made this at the same time I made my Butterflies Card which you can see HERE. I also made my own background paper by using a swirly stamp around the edge of my Kraft CS. Hmmmm, I'm not liking the photo I have of it here and just might take a better picture later. *Edited to add-I have changed the photos now...they look much better, lol.

There are more and more companies producing stamps that coordinate with Spellbinders Nestabilities and I particularly loved this set by Our Daily Bread called Bird & Butterfly Labels. The verse is from Verve Stamps....lol, told ya this was a Heinz 57 card:)

Inside:

I used chalk to colour in the butterfly, I wanted a nice soft feel to it.

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Pansy Purple, Petal & Sweet Leaf, CTMH Ink-Pansy Purple, Black, Petal & Desert Sand, CTMH SS-Happy Journey, Our Daily Bread Stamp-Bird & Butterfly Labels, Verve Stamps-Psalm 46:10 & Circular Sayings, JustRite Stamps-Kindness, Inkadinkado Stamps-Butterfly 60-00048, Nestabilities-Labels 18, Impressabilities-Floral & Stone, Marianne Designs-Flourish (Frame) LR0116, Martha Stewart-Scroll Lace Border Punch, Recollections Flowers, Pearls, White Grosgrain Ribbon, White Organdy Ribbon, Foam Squares.

Phew, is it hot enough where you are these days?Smiley We've been having a bit of a heat wave too. Yesterday it was 38C (100F), but of course adding the humidity it feels more like 43C (109F). Let's just say I let the kids watch more TV than usual so that they would come inside to cool down.

Hope you're having a great week! Don't forget to check HERE where I'll be drawing a name from the all the comments left for a FREE stamp set from Inspired Stamps.

Deneen...who is going to take better pictures of my card right now:)
