Cuttlebug Mania Let's Go 3D

Hello and welcome here!  Another week has flown by, did you do anything out of the ordinary?  This week at Cuttlebug Mania the Challenge has gone 3D, make a Box/Bag with a Summer Theme.

Challenge - Let's Go 3D
Box/Bag with a Summer Theme
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at Cuttlebug Mania.

Don't forget to let us know how you used your Cuttlebug!

Explosion Box Size:  4" x 4" x 4"
I found an Explosion Box online and changed measurements up to fit my design. The outer box is 4" x 4" x 4", and the inner box is 2" x 2" x 2".
I used the digital stamp Bambino by Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable available at Funky Kits, and coloured it with Copics.

I found a baby shoe pattern online and made a paper shoe from the idea.  The bigger square-ish areas were for the staff at work to write congrats.

The letters I cut out with my Slice (Playground Fonts Cartridge), it has the shadow option...perfect for matting the letters, which I embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I embossed Spellbinders Labels 22 with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder.

A Little Boy Overalls Card, for Heart 2 Heart Challenges

Welcome here, hope you're having a great day so far. This week on Heart 2 Heart Challenges it's an
ABC Challenge.
A=include an alphabet in some way,
B=must be a card (or other item) for a boy,
C=must include the color Chocolate.

Here is the card I made for the Challenge. I designed the template back in July 2008, you can find that post HERE. I hadn't used it in a while and thought it would be perfect for this Challenge.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"
Recipe: CTMH CS-Baby Blue, Chocolate & White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Chocolate & Black, CTMH SS-Happy Birthday, Nestabilities-Fancy Tag Trio's 2 & Oval, Slice, Black Marker, CTMH Chocolate Bigger Brads, 3D Foam Squares, Copics-C3.
I used CTMH's black Stipple Brush to add some texture to the overalls, and drew lines for stitching. I used my Slice to cut the letter B. The white dots are made by sanding the CS after it was embossed with the Fancy Tags Trio 2.
Here is a repost of my Little Boys Overalls Template for you to enjoy:
This week on Heart 2 Heart there's a 4 for 40 Challenge. When the number of players for this week reach 40, one lucky winner will receive 4 cards made by H2H's very own Jamia - Paper Madness Inc. To see one of the cards she is offering you can click on her link, or go to the H2H Challenges blog. You'll also find more great ABC Challenge artwork by the DT at H2H, or you can click on the DT links in my sidebar.
We'd love to see what you create using the ABC Challenge, just post your creation to your blog or other public forum, and then head on over to the H2H blog and add your link!
Enjoy,
Deneen

Grandma's Brag Book

I sent my first From The Heart Package to my Not-So-Secret-Sister (it's a group of Christian ladies from Canada & US, and due to distance we email each other our praises/prayer requests, and talk to each other about our daily lives, etc....therefore it's difficult to remain 'secret'). Each month we mail a package including at least $5 worth of goodies. It just happened to be my NSSS's Birthday & Anniversary, so I was able to STUFF her first box full of goodies - I love to spoil her:)...Hi Rene', {hugs}.
.
She has a granddaughter, so I altered this photo album to be her Grandma's Brag Book.
I used CTMH Bella papers. I used my Slice to cut out the letters...love my Slice. And used the little girl from SS-Childhood Portraits. For the 'pearls' I used Liquid Pearls because there is not much room for 3-D...I still wanted to look 3D though...I did add Foam Squares behind the girl.
The back of the album I left room to add a picture...so it would look like it was framed...here I did add some Foam Squares to the corner pieces, and more Liquid Pearls.
I used Copics clear Spica pen to add sparkle to the dress and the letters.
Here it is in the album cover.
Here's the finished inside cover (the back inside cover is also the same).
.
I had so much fun adding goodies to the box! I can't wait until next month. Oh, and just in case you were worried that Rene' might see this post...I waited until she received her box before I posted this:)
.
Enjoy,
Deneen
