Art Impressions Birthday Challenge

Hello and welcome here.  I've had some time on my hands and tried out the most recent Back to Basics by Kendra over on the AI Stamps Facebook Group, you can find the video HERE.  

She showed making a garland, but I made it my own by masking off the top so that I could add a sentiment!

I love the pink version, I also made a blue version.

A Tag Shaped Card

 Hello and welcome here.  I wanted to join the Challenge over at Art Impressions Blog and it's a shape challenge.  No square or rectangular cards.

I used Marianne Designs tag die CR1352 to give my card a it's shape.  I am still new to watercolouring but I am really enjoying having fun practicing.  I used a throwback stamp set that was available for a short time called 4058 WC Series 5.

I also used 4052 Flower Set 1, 5474 WC Flower Set 5, and 5476 WC Foliage Set 5.

Window Frame - 249

Window Panes - 565 mixed with 969

Window Box - 856

Greenery - 177

Slimline Card Challenge

Hello and welcome here. I decided to make a second card for the Art Impressions Slimline Challenge found HERE, using the instructions from THIS video by Bonnie Krebs.  THIS is the video I first saw, and bought my stamps based on this project!!!

I used 5261 Large Birdhouse Set, 4052 Flower Set, 4051 Foliage Set, and 5258 Flowers Set 4.

This was my first attempt at watercolouring the Ai way, and so I copied the flower placements etc. used by Bonnie in the video, so that I could focus on the watercolouring part.  I had so much fun, and learned sooooo much...enough to design the first card today all on my own.

Watercolour Slimline Cards

Hello and welcome here.  A few weeks ago I discovered an Art Impressions watercolor stamp video.  I am hooked!!  I ordered the Watercolor Starter Bundle and Flower Set 4, which allowed me to create these 2 cards...and the wreath I used on a wedding card a couple of posts ago.

Card Size:  3.5" x 8.5"

I am new to these slimline cards, and I saw that the Art Impressions Blog is having a Slimline Card Challenge.   You can find it HERE.  I thought I would challenge myself to give it a go.

I used 5123 Decorative Jar, 4051 Foliage Set, and 5258 Flower Set 4 for this card.

Heart Shaped Wreath Card

 Hello and welcome here.  I recently saw a video using a birdhouse stamp from Art Impressions Rubber Stamps, and watercolouring flowers and foliage.  I immediately ordered the stamps, lol.  I don't know how I missed their watercolouring technique before, but I am DOWN with it now!!!

The next video I just happened to watch was one from their FB page, where Kendra shows how to stamp wreaths.  You can find that video HERE...the heart wreath starts at approx. 36:00.  

Well lucky me, my stamps arrived 4 days before a wedding I was going to and I decided to try my hand at the wreath!  This is my attempt. 

This is a better view of the wreath.  I will definitely be making more of these!!!  So simple and quick.

 Hello and welcome here.  After a couple of years of not creating anything, I am back.  I'm here to share with you some cards inspired by Pinterest.  My brain needed some help and finding cards on Pinterest and tweaking them to make it my own helped a lot!

These cards were totally inspired by this card by Altenew found on Pinterest HERE. I tried using Mixed Media paper instead of Watercolour paper because I wanted a whiter card.  I wasn't able to move the colour around as easily so they ended up a bit blotchy.

I used a really old CTMH stamp set called Heart of Harvest and watercoloured the image.  I also cut out Memory Box Arbescello Tree from watercolour paper and painted it in Fall colours.  I die cut a piece of black fun foam to give the tree some dimension.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

Coneflowers are a pretty harvest time flower.  The stamp is from Tim Holtz called Flower Garden and I watercoloured it to give it a nice soft feel.

Teddy Bo & Co. Trio Card

Hello and welcome here!  The summer seems to be flying by and Teddy Bo & Co. just released the August membership packs.  I'm sharing a card made with a trio of images.

The image is a fun trio of sketchy Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea.  I chose to watercolour them using Prima watercolors, it keeps it feeling loose.  I finished it off with a sentiment and sequins.

Teddy Bo & Co. Inspiration

I watercoloured the image from the July Membership pack, Oli is holding a blank sign and I added a sentiment to finish it off.  I used Distress Inks this time to colour.

I didn't add much to the card but I did finish it off with some sequins to add a bit of bling.

Teddy Bo and Co. the Bears In Paris

Hello and welcome here!  It's time to share some Teddy Bo & Co. inspiration.  This time I decided to watercolour a Paris scene.

This time I used Prima watercolours to colour my image.  The image is from the May Membership Collection.  I die cut the word 'wishing' using black cardstock.
