Little Boy Overalls

Good afternoon, hope you're having a great weekend. It's a cold, windy, rainy day here....perfect for posting some more on my blog.

The Little Girl Dress I posted yesterday was a huge hit, but I would get the occasional comment wishing there was one for the boys. So, I made an overall template!!!...for the boys (including my youngest...lol).

The finished card size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Overalls #1.

This is my favourite by far. For starters, I have a soft spot for frogs....maybe from watching Kermit the Frog as a little girl....ahhh, memories. But I digress, back to the card. The shirt I cut out of textured CS, I used CTMH's Fun Times Stamp Set for the frog. For the patch and belt loops, I inked the same CS I used for the overalls. And I used CTMH's Black Bitty Brads for the frog's eyes.
Recipe: CTMH Bamboo CS & Ink, CTMH Textured White Daisy CS, Frog(CTMH Garden Green CS, CTMH New England Ivy Ink), CTMH chocolate grosgrain ribbon.

Overalls #2.
I made a pair that you could use for a baby announcement or shower. I used It's A Boy Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss It's a Boy on the pant leg. I then masked it, and went over it with a rubber brayer to highlight the words. The giraffe is from Cuttlebug's die cut Zoo Animals set. I finished it off with a button.
Recipe: CTMH Heavenly Blue CS, CTMH Sweet Pea Paper Pack, CTMH Buttercup CS, CTMH Outdoor Denim Ink, CTMH Summer Buttons (retired), Cuttlebug (It's A Boy EF, Zoo Animals DC).

Overall #3.
Of course I had to make a pair that looks worn out....boys do play hard, lol. This was the quickest of the bunch to make. I sanded CTMH paper until the white core showed through. I just love, love, LOVE, CTMH CS. I used a sponge and ink to give the shirt some texture, and then finished it off with some buttons.

Recipe: CTMH Indian Corn Blue CS, CTMH Outdoor Denim Ink, Dollarama buttons.

Overall #4.
For the last pair of overalls, I tried to keep it fairly simple. For some reason, I couldn't seem to capture the true colour of this pair. It's more vibrant IRL.
Recipe: CTMH Crystal Blue CS, CTMH Outdoor Denim Ink, LSS paper, paper punch.

Here's the template I created for the overalls:

If you need a tutorial on how to save & print this template, check out my post on Little Girl Dresses, from July 11, 2008.

Thanks for looking, and go CREATE some overalls for those boys!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your template and love all the overall designs that you created. I so wish that we were able to buy CTMH products in Australia.
